^ Long duration isn't necessarily a bad thing. When you are dealing with long comedowns that leave you feeling shitty the next day, a long acting benzo is idea.
It all depends on what you're looking for. Clonazepam is an high potency benzo with powerful anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, and moderate sedative effects. So alprazolam kicks in a bit quicker, so what?
There are benzo's that have an even quicker onset of action than alprazolam - benzo's like temazepam, triazolam, or diazepam. There are many others, but most are not commercially available in the United States (many hypnotics like nitrazepam, flunitrazepam, midazolam, brotizolam, nimetazepam, lormetazepam, and loprazolam).
I'm speaking from experience. Klonopin is more of a upper benzo, it's more prone to give people paradoxial effects. It also takes awhile to kick in and then longer to peak.
If your looking for immediate relief, then alprazolam works alot better for some reason. Probably because once it kicks in it works immeditely, and it's effects are just way better suited for a come down. Especially sense alprazolam has a "feel good" effect of it's own. I've had it save me on terrible come downs.
Klonopin on the other hand doesn't work half as good. Trust me I used to take up to 8mg's comming down from some shit. It's probably becuase it tends to cause paradoxial effects, and IMO just doesn't feel as strong sometimes unless your completely wacked out.
Id say diazepam best 4 me anyway at relaxing the muscles and long acting 2 birds 1 stone sorted hope that helps buddie
Is snorting temazepam worthwhile? Any idea on the BA of insufflated vs. oral?
