has been built entirely on a web of deceit and bullshit - and on top of all that, it's all been financially supported by an illegal narcotics trade innately tied to violence and suffering that may very well cause serious legal or physical harm to her and her children... and she somehow sucks as a person because she wasn't cool with that?
you missed my entire point. the deceit and bullshit is how walt dealt with her, because she is the way she is. fuck her, if she wasn't such a pretentious and abnoxious cunt, he would have been able to be more honest with her.
I guess that's your opinion if you want it to be. The character from the outset is flawed. So is every character on this show, so are almost all characters in any fiction.
these bitches aren't simply flawed. they are monstrous. the writing on this show is bloody terrible.
that's normal, that's natural.
hahahh lol. sure. this show is more fantasy than natural or real. what about those two cartel hitmen? are they real?
my arse.
Would it somehow have made a better story if she was just like "OK, cool!" and her and Walt become some Bonnie & Clyde duo cooking meth and living large together? Hell no, that would be cheesy. Would it be better if the character was written "stronger" from the onset? Who can say, but if that were the case they wouldn't have been able to use most of the plot devices of Walt trying to - and mostly being successful at - hiding his other life over the entirety of the first two seasons. It would have been a totally different story.
no that option would be equally shit. but with drama, there are more than just polar extremes as options.
Same goes for Marie, she lives this bullshit sheltered existence shoplifting and putting people down to get her off... and then when something legitimately dangerous effects her she breaks down into a completely new realm of emotional turmoil.
no excuse for this miserable character. oh how ironic, she criticises drug users and then shoplifts. is that meant to be clever?
I didn't really see Jesse's girlfriend as a strong woman at all. She had a more hip personality, she had a snappy wit, but she was by far the weakest of the bunch. She was a sucker for losers and getting high and she paid the ultimate price for it. I'm sure she had much stronger opinions on which Kate Bush album is the best, but do you REALLY think that character could have handled the emotional conflict Skylar was faced with as deftly as she did? She couldn't even handle her own pussy ass shortcomings as a person.
you missed my point. there have only really been three female characters in the show. i'm not comparing them to each other, but noting how badly they've all been treated by the writers.
