do you prefer klonopin or xanax for stim comedown

I prefer Klonopin for stim comedowns if I'm gonna be awake, but if I'm just trying to pass out, Xanax works best.


I tried that once after meth when I was out of benzos, and found it quite unpleasant - couldn't sleep and felt kinda delirious.

I agree with you on which benzo for which situation. But for me seraquel is like getting hit in the head with a brick. My wife convinced me to do some of hers because she thought I'd been up to long. I wasn't even coming down, still tweaking hard, and it still put me to sleep. Funny part is it wore off before the meth and I woke up still high.

Seroquel will always put me to sleep but its not enjoyable before knocking out.

"Less likely to cause seizures"? What??? Klonopin doesn't "cause" seizures. It prevents it, in fact Klonopin is the most effective benzodiazepine to "prevent" seizures.

That's what I thought, but someone told me that clonazepam withdrawal sometimes can cause seizures. Is this not true? It seems unlikely to me that withdrawal from one benzo could cause seizures and withdrawal from another benzo cannot. It seems plausible to me that withdrawal (cold turkey from a high dose) from any benzo can cause seizures, with other benzos being more likely than others. (shrugs)

Agreed. It knocks me out better than kpin. Once I'm out, I'll stay asleep unless something external wakes me up.

All benzodiazepines can cause seizures from withdrawals, usually when going cold turkey after years of abuse or if not properly tapered. I don't know if one has a better chance of causing a seizure than another but a seizure would occur quicker with those that have shorter half-lifes, while it would take a little longer with those that have longer half-lifes.

So then what I said before wasn't entirely incorrect. I should have specified that the seizures would be withdrawal seizures, but both alprazolam and clonazepam can cause seizures, clonazepam being the benzo less likely to cause withdrawal seizures.
