do you prefer klonopin or xanax for stim comedown

Klonopin. It kicks in fairly good and last quite a while. So when you wake up you won't be so tense...

Usually 2mgs of xanax on my comedown is nicebecause I get a heavy feeling which feels nice

If I didn't have an insane benzo tolerance, I'd go with the clonazepam (Klonopin).

But since that no longer works for me, I use Seroquel.

In my opinion xanax is better as it is MUCH better than klonopin for sleep!

I prefer Klonopin for stim comedowns if I'm gonna be awake, but if I'm just trying to pass out, Xanax works best.

I tried that once after meth when I was out of benzos, and found it quite unpleasant - couldn't sleep and felt kinda delirious.

xanax for suuure. klonopin is not good for sleep especially when tolerant but it is good at muscle relaxing sort of......not the Best though

Can't suggest a dose if you don't say what your tolerance is.

But clonazepam is much better. Xanax peaks for about an hour and then its no longer effective. Clonazepam doesn't have a sharp peak that disappears so quickly. Its smoother so lasts longer. Stimulant comedowns can last a long time so you need something longer acting.

Clonazepam, no question, xanax doesn't last long enough but it's better than nothing, especially if you have a lot of it.

I guess both would be best if you were having a bad comedown you could take the xanax and it would kick in right away then take the klonopin and relax and sleep.

I can't really abuse stimulants much these days precisely because I'm on 2mgs of Klonopin a day and I can't go over without running out early. I can't binge on stimulants without extra benzos on hand.

^^This guy and the guy above him speak the truth. Xanax is too short lived to be of any real use when it comes to coming down, unless you take it at the very end and then there isn't really a point.

Klonopin is much better, I'd go so far as to say Ativan is even better, it's my benzo of choice to have around when I'm on stimulants/psychedelics. To each his/her own, though.

If I rememeber right about 2mg bars would be sufficeint bfor xananx during come down. I guess it depends when you take it. I take xanax likr once aweeek so I hardly have any tolerance

I can actually sleep with clonazepam if I just take one benadryl with it at night, assuming I'm tired of course.

In a high enough dose clonazepam will put me to sleep by itself but I have no interest in raising my tolerance, I was trying to lower it but have decided to stay at 2mgs for a bit since it works well for me at that dose.

Xanax is fine if you have lots (and can re-dose), but I would generally go with clonazepam. Also a strong anxiolytic, but a stronger muscle relaxant, and with a much longer duration.

Xanax packs a punch but it is very short lived. Peak is about 45 minutes and if you miss that peak and don't get to sleep during that time period then your left with some lingering effects much less as effective as Clonazepam

Honestly, alprazolam (Xanax) is a relic these days, and it should only be prescribed in lots of maybe five pills at a time. (I know that a lot of people here will disagree with me.) It's great for going to the dentist or whatever, you know, those rare occasions when an individual's anxiety becomes too much. But taking Xanax regularly... eh, I don't think it's a good idea.

Clonazepam (Klonopin), on the other hand, is longer-lasting, less likely to cause seizures, and, in my opinion, just as effective as alprazolam. So, I'm going to say that Klonopin is the better choice.

"Less likely to cause seizures"? What??? Klonopin doesn't "cause" seizures. It prevents it, in fact Klonopin is the most effective benzodiazepine to "prevent" seizures.
