That's why PLUR is an amazing philosophy. If everyone keeps it in mind, no problems ever arise
Where ever there is PLUR there is someone who will take advantage of PLUR. Keep that in mind and let plur DIE.

Sorry Monkey, but real raves absolutely do exist up here, like I said, and if you went to one of the events I'm talking about, you definitely wouldn't disagree. Living in South Florida doesn't really give you much of an opinion on events up here, because in South Florida, they fucking blow and have for years, which I said so I'm not really sure why you were trying to call me out on that or something...

True crew and tight crew mayhaps?I started going to raves out in Idaho in the late 90's. I moved to South Florida shortly after and they were similar, but starting to come above ground. Even still there were underground ones and the above ground ones were good and low key, not at big fancy clubs but rave clubs. They got super commercial though and raves pretty much went away. There is still good live electronic music, but it was in more of a club or bar type settings and there was no atmosphere.
Now I live in the North East and the parties I go to are put on by small trustworthy promotions companies. They are small - like 1000 people, the tickets are 15-20 dollars, they are in a variety of venues like lazer tag arenas and some clubs, and water is cheap. The "vibe" as many call it is incredible, just like the "good old days" and the crowd is older. There are a variety of costumes and everyone is just there to have a good time. It's a blast and I haven't had as much fun at raves since I started going. There are also a few "underground" parties in the summertime in the middle of the woods, they call them outlaws, and they are a good time as well.
In addition, there are still some awesome raves in Toronto. Raves aren't dead and commercial everywhere. Things have evolved somewhat, as I said earlier, one thing that's really improved IMO is the production quality. The sounds and the lights have gotten so much better. I went to warehouse raves and yeah, they were great for their time and I loved them, but thinking back, they could be really hot and stuffy and shitty in other ways too. To me, what really changed in the electronic music scene in Florida was the people. The atmosphere completely went away and it just wasn't fun anymore.

Talk to your friendly neighborhood 19 year old druggie and ask them about ecstasy. I seriously have been told over and over again that pills that I have tested were "trippy" (uhhh... since when is ecstasy trippy?) and that MDMA and ecstasy are different. They think ecstasy is always different and don't have any fucking clue that it's not supposed to be. Fortunately, it seems molly is making a strong come back up here because of all the shitty pills.
Like I've said before, it's all about who you know. MDMA is doing great in the northeast. Don't say bad things about the northeast if you don't even know the scene. Pipes are everywhere, it's a sad fact. Where ever there are bad pills, there are amazing ones. This is a problem for the rave scene here. As much as many would like to deny it, actual mdma is arguably the driving force in the vibe of parties. Without it, it won't continue to be the same, and it's been AWHILE since mdma has been in steady supply in the northeast.
It's actually funny to me because a lot of the kids I hang with seem to not understand why I'm so picky about my pills and why I'm such a fiend for good pills to begin with...why is this? Probably because they've almost never had a good pill in their life so they just don't know what they're missing.
Although, I did steer one kid in the right direction of a stamp I knew was good and he wound up finding it at a rave and rolled harder than he had in his life. Now he listens very carefully to which pills I suggest...lol.

I'll rephrase what I said to mean NYC, not the entire northeast. Now, if you try to tell me there's plenty of good pills in NYC, I'm going to have to assume you're one of the poor fools who think they're getting mdma when they're not.
Also, where there's bad pills, there's amazing ones? Wrong, not in NYC.
Sucks about your records Warped. WTF are they gonna do with them anyway?
Oh jeez dude...I'm taking a visit to NYC TOMORROW. You. Are. Wrong. You must not know any of the right people hahaha.
