Just wanted to see what everyone thought and let you know how I'm doing.
I switched from alot of Oxymorphone to Suboxone, all of this from being in Pain Management, etc... I was looking for my Suboxone to replace the OM as a treatment for pain, which it has, at about 60% the efficacy.
I have also lapsed in and out of moderate depression, so I wanted to see about the anti-depressant properties of Bupe that have been coming out of clinical trials.
As far as my treatment is going, I've been on for nearly a month, and have no cravings and haven't had the desire to go find other opiates for pain relief, but I would like to get a little buzzed once in a while (I'll get to that later).
In the first few weeks I experienced SEVERE depression, as bad as I've ever had it in my life, and there was no obvious reason for this for the first time, so it bothered me quite a bit. In the last week or so, it has been getting somewhat better.
Could the Naloxone be causing the depression? Do you think it is just PAWS from years and years of using an extremely potent opiate?
Alright, now, when I first started my subs i had been off OM for like a week cold turkey, when I first was on it, I would grab a nod once in a while which was really nice. It also gave me better analgesia. With time, that has decreased, and I find it hard to grab any type of significant pain relief from the subs anymore, but it is working well for the inevitable opiate cravings, although mine are slightly different because they come from a desire for pain relief.
So, what can I do to potentiate the euphoric and analgesic effects of the bupe?
I tried searching around quite a bit, but only came up with IV techniques, things that weren't really applicable. I imagine that there is an antihistamine/ antacid/ allergy drug that is compatible with bupe. Although I'm really unclear on how the norbuprenorphine interacts with your body and these potentiators, so if anyone has advice for me, it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not just "trying to get high" I'm trying to extend the analgesic and antidepressant effects of the suboxone. Thanks for the replies, hope everyone's holidays are going well and everyone is good on their path of treatment.
