Opioids CWE- want to make sure im right

hey guys, dont usually take hydros, too weak for me but I cant get ahold of any opana's so my buddy gave me some of his hydro fives. Anyways, ive never done cwe and wondering if ive got it right:


•crush pills
•put powder into warm/hot water and shake in cup
•pour into bowl and put into freezer for X amount of minutes until very cold
•strain through coffee filter or t-shirt into a cup
•chug strained water?

am i right?

And no, i wouldn't do it like that because the warmer the water the more acetaminophen get's dissolved. I'm not sure if putting it in the freezer after the fact would "undissolve" the tylenol, so why risk it? Just use super cold water to dissolve it in the first place, then mix around filter and drink. Also you want to use a very small amount of water, like the smallest amount possible to dissolve the pills. I'm not sure exactly how much water in ml's would be best so direct that question over to the megathread.
 
i checked the thread, got confused...trying to figure it out in my own words..

so anyways ur saying just crush the pills, put the powder in super cold water, mix till its disolved then just filter the liquid through a shirt or something....where is the tylenol going to get caught? the top of the shirt?
 
Assuming you do it right... Yes.

But the more water you use and the warmer the water is, the more tylenol will be dissolved.
 
^ Yeah, it is fairly easy as long as you don't screw up the water. And then again you'd have to be using around 300-400ml of water to start getting a bad dose of APAP in it.

I'm fairly liberal with my water for various reasons, usually use around 150-200ml of water because I am dissolving around 140 pills at a time, have had my liver checked out and it's fine :)

Quite true. Some folks who aren't terribly concerned about ingestion of a small amount of tylenol will even dissolve the tablets in ice cold water, then after the tabs dissolve, stir, let dissolve again, then drink off the bitter top water.

It's obvious from looking at the glass what you're drinking. The tylenol and binders constitute a thick, disgusting sludge at the bottom of the glass. Then one drinks the clear portion and dumps the sludge. There is, of course, some loss. But people who have to take 15-25 hydros to get a slight nod/high don't usually care about losing a bit from 25 10mg tabs.

Not perfect but I think that the amount of APAP one would ingest through this means would be negligible

I've rolled like that a few times out of impatience, but that would constitute about 2% of my CWE's. Anyway, CWE's are simple and dissolving the tablets in cold water, then filtering though a coffee filter yields perfect results.

Important note: I use a Melitta plastic cone-style filter (excellent for awesome coffee as well; roughly $2-3 USD) and cone-shaped filters. The uber-friendly but knowledgeable coffee snobs at my local coffee place use the same thing. But that's off topic.

Once I've dissolved the tabs in ice-cold water, I stir up the solution then filter it through a cone-style coffee filter. It takes a while (up to 45 min or an hour). What I am left with is almost entirely clear water which I then proceed to throw down my throat. (Perform operation overnight and wake up to a jar of energy, buzz, noddy-ness, however your high manifests itself w/ any given drug.)

Sometimes I will wash the remaining plaster in the filter by dumping or rinsing it out, mixing it with cold water, then filter again. The result is weak sauce no doubt, but one wants to feel that one has gotten the most out of one's goodies.

(Sorry, I've been reading Saki and other Edwardian literature all day, so the "ones" and the "weak sauce" just emerged from my brain and I left them.)

Anyway, if you buy a Melitta filter and a pack of filters (many cheap brands make the same thing- recycled even!), you will have spent far less than $10 USD for a virtually unbreakable and affordably renewable CWE station. Packs of filters go for like $3 USD for 100-150 filters.
 
You won't get much opiate out if you dissolve in icy water. I give you 50% yield to be fair with you. And the dissolved Tylenol will be 0.75g/100mL

It all depends on how well you dissolve them. If you stir like you're whisking an egg for 4-5 minutes and there are no solids left, then you'll get as much codeine as you would with any other method, if not more. This is the method I use (though I usually crush them rather than letting them dissolve, all depends on the brand of tablets used) and I always have excellent results.

COLD water extractions really don't need any warm/hot water at all.
 
It depends on the definition of "icy" water. Water that has considerable chunks of ice is definitely going to trap more of the drug than water that just has a small amount of barely-formed ice. I always made sure to get mine out as soon as the first sign of ice appears, to avoid trapping much of the drug.

I'd like to know how much ice you are letting form in your extractions to only get around 50%, Ksa... (when you get back from your new temp ban apparently...)
 
50% Ksa? That's nonsense.

Codiene is soluable in room tempertaure water and VERY soluable in very cold water (1 degree centigrade is perfect). That's the whole basis of a COLD WATER Extraction.
 
Just use HOT water, then chill it. In the hot water, you'll be sure to dissolve all of the wanted API, and when you chill it, the APAP will sediment out. Then, use a wick filter and stop wasting money on paper filters that clog up all too quickly.

Euphoric123 had it right to begin with. While you might not have been sure whether cooling the solution would "undissolve" it, you could have found out by trying it, instead of giving advice based on something that you heard by word of mouth.

It's not a risk. It's physics. At any given temperature, water will only hold a certain amount of APAP. As the temperature drops, so does that quantity, and the rest sediments out. Make sure that you are using just enough water to keep all of your desired API dissolved at the temperature extreme of 32°F.

If you want the best quality yield, let the sediment rest fully and don't disturb it. Then use a wick filter to draw off the liquid, leaving the sediment undisturbed. The other end of the wick will drip clear liquid into your target container at a rate that ends up being faster overall than with pouring a mixture of solution and precipitate into a filter that starts to clog as soon as some of the precipitate hits it.

It's a long time since I've even seen a coffee filter, so it would be hard for me to compare how long the two approaches take, but depending on the material chosen for the wick, figure on a constant rate that is somewhere between 15 seconds and a minute per milliliter.

Longer, if you choose to mix the remaining precipitate with water to get any remaining API, let it settle and then use the wick filter again to draw off the new liquid.

But ... when working with quantity and larger containers, you can use multiple wicks in parallel to speed things up. With 5 wicks, it will take 1/5 the time (you can even calculate it with ohm's law).

With just a simple wick, the chief advantage is in the purity and not having to hassle with clogged filters.

The reason your results are so pure is that gravity continues to pull the sediment downward while capillary action is pulling the liquid upward through the wick filter, without any of the sediment.

If you accidentally disturb the solution, causing some of the settled precipitate to mix with the liquid, wait for it to settle again before continuing to wick-filter it.

Ok, cold water extraction. The thing is, If you use 150mL to do the extraction you'll get a lot more than 50% yield, in fact your yield will be close to 90%. The way it works is that we consider Tylenol powder as spherical particles of a certain size and each particle has to fully dissolve in water in order to maximize codeine output. The particles are porous so some of the codeine is able to exit the particle without the particle dissolving completely but as the channels start to get smaller, the water has more trouble penetrating the particle due to the hydrophobic Tylenol content.

If you use 150mL to extract 15x 500mg pills you don't have to worry about heating up because your dissolved Tylenol will be 0.75g/100mL times 1.5 100mL = 1.125g

And 1.125g / 15x 0.5g = 15%

If you're above 10% you're ok. However, if you're below 5%, even if you shake it for 4-5 minutes you will have a considerable codeine fraction that will remain trapped inside. This is only with small volumes of water and large masses of pills, such as using 15 pills in 20mL of water. The percentage in this case is 2% so the final disolved Tylenol will be 150mg, which is a very small amount to swallow. In this case, if you use 20mL of icy water with 15 pills I guarantee you that you'll get 50% yield.

However, there's an easy way to bypass that, by playing with temperature. We know that temperature is a kinetic factor and so, increasing the temperature of a saturated salt solution will increase the saturation point. Instead of having 0.75 mg/100mL, if we heat to 75 degrees Celsius, the solubility becomes around 5g/100mL so our new % is [5g x (20mL/100mL)] / 7.5g = 13%
The percentage is now in the safe region so we know our yield is above 85%. I have personally experimented with this and even made a table in my previous posts somewhere. This is the step where codeine is released. Once it is released, you no longer need the Tylenol to be dissolved so you can cool down to freezing point and extract the solution.



Rule of thumb: Small water volumes + large pill # = you have to heat. Similarly, large water volumes + small pill # = use icy water.

I hope this clarifies ^.^

Hi man.I made a cwe with 17 large pills(paracet.500 and codeine 30mg).I used a small amount of cold water(not from the fridge,but cold enough) and 2 wet coffee filters.I crushed the pills in an almost fine powder.I stir the solution and i filtered it.It didn't make a long time.Then i put some little water in to the grab to take the codeine that might had remaine.My final solution was very clear,i drunk it,but i didn't feel anything.You think that it was cause of my very big tolerance(I use 100mg pathces for 7 years and h),or i did something wrong in the cwe?Please answer if you like,cause i think that you know a lot for the cwe(sorry for my bad english,mate.):\
