Salut, i am on 50mg methadon, i sweat alot. Im on methadone back to 2000 year.I sweat from begining, with years passing the problem get worse, even if i am down to 6mg or so....Before methadone, my sweat was normal towards little, now the biggest problem is with head sweat, if i exit apartment and walk 100meters the sweat appear, if i enter an bus(or metro) the head sweat appear, IS AWFULL.
If i do some small work in house, with ac ON, the sweat still there. I hate methadone.
I was on 50mg, but i use 12mg for 5 years, sweat still there. Let explain more:
Today for example, 8 in the morning, i take 12mg, sweat is >normal, if i take another 12mg after few hours, then sweat is big, like 5 time then normal, even with my ac on at full( with 18C). If i use 12mg or more, sweat is criminal.
And some americans use 200mg!!!!!wow.
Methadone get you sweat, but not for all people, for some, 40% or so acccording to google.
My advise, get down your dose to 10mg or so, and get out of it, sweat is incredible, in winter i sweat in the metro or bus.
Sweat is NONE on body, except FACE an HEAD. I use weat napkins and i do 1 shower daily.
For the past 3 months i am on 7.5mg, at this dose i do not feel a thing, i feel tired, but i want to exit methadone because of the sweat problem.
I never sweat at night, only in day and on head and face.First 3 hours after i wake up i do not sweat, but after taking methadone....is back with force, i get hot flash ten times/day. And sweating on face is like oil and shining.
Clonidine, not working at all, instead is gets you dizzy and sleepeness. I hate this drug also.
If you take methadone and clonidine, is like taking double dose of methadone, beware of this!Clonidine is powerfull.
