Whats the best style of dance music?

We should make this a poll, if this thread hasn't been done already

Tech House
Drum n Bass
Breaks
Techno
Minimal
Dubstep
IDM
Trance
Psytrance
Deep House
Electro
Downtempo

Thing is, people like multiple types...these are really just adjectives.
I would describe my sound as deep, minimal tech-house

Now how does one define "Free Tekno" and "Acid"?
You must be in the UK. I've been to Bangface and loved it, but I was only familiar with "Tekno" being used in the context of teknivals, etc which seemed to sound similar to gabber. See...this is such a loaded question. There's no way I could name just one style. It would be cool to put all these genres up there with a multi-choice poll and see where BL'ers tastes run in terms of EDM

Why are people so obsessed with "best" threads?

Of course you must know you are just going to get a totally random shotgun scatter of responses to such a silly question, I can't imagine what useful info could possibly arise. Well whatever.
 
It is useful. Someone could read this, see that some kind of music they haven't heard is highly liked, and then start listening to it. So, threads like this help people discover new music.

@junglejuice: It's hard to define with words, but you know them when you hear them. That is how I usually tell them apart.

I love many different genres equally, and it depends on my mood and whatever my current preference is at any given moment as to what I will actually listen to each day.

And yeah, for me it really does change almost every day/week :)

My main loves at the moment are dubstep and dnb. I like me a bit of trance (all different types) and some hardstyle every now and then.

My two life-long loves are dark psytrance and harcdore/gabber :)
 
Its a question and for some people it shows what type of music people on this board listen too. Not many listen to house music. Its also a way of learning about other styles. Some of us do not know what gabber is or maybe even dubstep for that matter. I think if the post was a poll with all the styles it would be a cool post.
 
Also what are you thoughts on the Dutch electro sound. Producers like Chuckie and Afrojack??
