Liver/Kidney Detox. What would u reconmend?

^Sad but true, but you know the saying, divide and conquer... A divided society is much easy to control and manipulate.

We're having our strings pulled on a daily basis and we just let it happen... We know no better though, slowly though things i believe are improving, i'm like the opposite to them dudes that think humanity is just getting worse and all that negative shit. We're slowly shaking off the primitive instincts that keep us divided and killing each other and manipulated on a mass scale.

Sadly though we've let a tiny group of people get way too powerful and these people want to keep us dumbed down and easy to control..

pretty fail situation overall although i got faith in humanity.

Stuff like low-protein fasts are used in mainstream medicine.

Burdock isnt used in mainstream medicine, but it replaces for any diuretic/astringent.

i got faith in humanity.

The average person is literally in a trance man.... we are under hard core oppression. They think that buck stops with Julia Gillard or Lord Obama!

Left right paradigm is terrible... "I think the libs can fix it" "I think that labour will get the job done"

idiots..

I had faith in humanity, then the gov spent millions on an OPRAH CAMPAIGN!

Oprah.....

FUCKING OPRAH!!!!

haha thanx for support yo. yes i know i've abused my organs wayy too much and i shohuldn't be in this bad state of body at my age (26). But like u said. US DRUGGIES UNITED. If i can live my drug life over again i'd choose not to do as much as i did or as long as i did. A ball a week on average for more than 12months. And these were proper pure shardy looking pure k's.

i am making an effort to stop having long benders and drink water hydrate my self. Hopefully my kidneys wont hate me as much after a few weeks :).

Medicine has rarely been "proved" to work. Medicine is partly an art. Its not as objective and absolute compared to the hard sciences, even though it requires some knowledge of the hard sciences.

There are actually a lot of medicines that have evidence to support their use, but are not part of mainstream medicine and are alternative despite having evidence to back up their use.

People here are correct though that you wont magically heal your kidneys overnight. Drink lots of quality water without crap in it (some bottled water is not better than tap, but tap can be quite bad in some places), and stop abusing them.

The first week of bender I blame it on JakesPerson as it was his 20th and we had a wicked time on Molly amongst other things. and the bender went on for 6days LOL.

Yeah when your bender stopped, I just continued in another town. And you can't blame me for the bender you had the week before that.. And the one you are finishing right now ;)

I think I am at the same point as you though. I am starting to get lower back pain, very difficult to urinate on any occasion, damn near impossible on most substances.

Need more hydration. I have never drank water properly or anything for my whole life, even hated it as a baby apparently. I like to think of myself as a prototype of human learning to survive without H20 for when we run out :).

But yeah, hydration is very important, whether you are high or not.

What!, So clinical trials data showing the efficacy of thousands of drugs isn't proof enough that a medication does what it's supposed to. Ridiculous.

Medicine is partly an art.

Certainly with many alternative medicines that can be said, but I have found amazing allopathic professionals, who work with pharmacological explanations and take into account individual predispositions. These are brilliant doctors, and there's not a paint brush between them 8)

I'm out of time again today, but I can see a thorough review of this thread is in order.

There is evidence based on statistics, but I cant tell you how many times the drug company will engineer a test proving efficacy.....a large scale double blind placebo controlled study that gets peer reviewed.....and another study that is equally credible comes to significantly different conclusions.

Not only that, but health isnt all about statistics. The side effect profile, the interactions with other drugs, understanding that each patient is an individual.....its a art as much as it is a science, otherwise we could have computers replacing doctors.

Trust me, there isnt a magic formula, no standardized test that can narrow down your condition and prescribe based on a one size fits all.....it doesnt work that way, and if your doctor operates that way, find a new one.

So no, statistical analysis is not conclusive "proof", but its highly suggestive of certain effects.

Sometimes with herbs there are also evidence that suggests the efficacy of an herb....often weaker or based on smaller or less controlled studies, but there IS often real science supporting the use of herbs.

A peer reviewed double blind placebo controlled study is not definitive.....sometimes these studies can be doctored. Sometimes faulty logic was applied to criteria. Sometimes there are unknowns which can cause you to reevaluate the information had before putting it into a new context......1 test, no matter how peer reviewed or double blind or large scale, proves NOTHING. Not a god damned thing. However, its suggestive of many things, and you look at multiple studies and come to conclusions based on meta-studies.

Most of the studies that are used for herbs and supplements are funded by universities, like the University of Maryland or Bastyr University....These are often less impressive studies than the ones the drug companies pay for, and yet they also tend on average to be less biased, unless they are created by somebody selling something.

So no, a lot of medicine is not 100% conclusively proven, despite studies.

Some studies found that prozac was less effective than a sugar pill for depression, decades after its introduction to medicine....credible studies, larger than the ones that got the drugs approved.

Sentience no offence, i really dislike most of your replys in my thread heh. due to it being 100% none helpful. and u so think u are so right....

still waiting on P_D to give me some positive correct info :)

oh and jake: yes i only blamed u for the first one ok. 2nd one was my own fault. and current one. yeah mine too. :P... Staying away from total substances starting next week ;)

Well, I did spend years going to school to learn about supplements and herbs and detox therapy, after getting studying all my anatomy and physiology.....but if you would rather ask people who dont even 'believe' in the topics you are asking about over somebody who spend years of formal education studying this....be my guest.

If you know so much about this, why not heal your own kidneys?

A lot of what I said was directed towards the liver, but I think I am pretty much the only person who tried to help at all whatsoever....everyone else just told you nothing works so dont bother.

I spent years and years studying this stuff and know a lot more than the few tid bits I bothered to post here.....but I wont post in your threads anymore. I get paid to help people detox and choose supplements...I dont need to give it away for free to people who dont appreciate it.

I suggest seeing a doctor mate if it doesnt get any better. I have abused alot of things and have taken Legalon in the past whilst living in Europe to help my liver recover from all the abuse it has been through. I know u are searching for something for ur kidneys but none of us can give u any better advice than a Doctor him/herself.

If it worsens then please see a doctor and in the meantime lay off everything so u can fully recover. In my opinion its pretty silly to recommend medicine to someone without diagnosing them and its really important to treat them properly with the correct type of medication due to there current circumstances.

Doctors dont do a lot of preventative medicine. Their idea of "preventative medicine" is screening you for cancer, and blood tests for diabetes....early surgery or warning people if they are diabetic....none of which actually does much to actually prevent disease....its just not part of standard western medicine, except for dieticians.

An MD can run some tests and if your kidneys are shot they can put you on dialysis or get you on a list for a transplant.

If you want a more holistic approach, find a Naturopathic Physician. Some Osteopaths also have relevant knowledge and can prescribe like MDs.

Ha ha this thread reminds me of when we got a visit from a rep from that Sandra Cabot place... you know that lady doctor that writes about the liver detox and stuff? Was complete bullshit I thought with little evidence to back it up. Like the aromatherapy lady who said essential oils can shrink brain tumors or the homeopath... enough said about that last one.

I think homeopathy is bullshit. Essentials oils are potentially very dangerous, because they can cross the blood brain barrier, or even penetrate the cell wall.

'Do no harm' is first and foremost.

^ Thankfully she wasn't talking about actually ingesting them, she was suggesting that throwing some oil in a burner to make your home smell nice can cure cancer. :\

Yeah and homeopathy is bullshit. I remember the lady saying, 'well if it didn't work then we wouldn't be in business still would we?' I thought to myself, 'No, it just means that a lot of people are very hopeful and ignorant of science.'

As Paragraphs

Y'0.p.

I've been using natural methods
to clean the elimination system
for the last year
(after years of abuse).

Nephritis + similar kidney conditions
are often a result of excessive uric acid
in the blood/kidneys/body.

Here's some foods that consumed everyday
in sufficient quantities will do mad amounts of work for you:

Asparagus - eat me every day for a month

Watermelon Juice - drink me every day for a month

Beetroot Juice (mix 30:70 with carrot)
Cucumber (or cucumber juice / mix 50:50 with carrot)

Seriously though,
you need to do it every day,
you need to stick to it for at least a month,
you need a juicer.
Go for organic fruit + veg if you can afford it.

Other stuff that will help:

Apple Cider Vinegar (consume with honey + water)
Parsley
Carrot Juice
(man, I kid you not,
500ml-1lt fresh carrot juice consumed every day
will so seriously detox your liver;
it may result in you actually feeling sick after doing it
every day for a week, your throat might get sore;
to rectify this eat some kelp, the iodine will help
clear your thyroid)
Lecithin
Cabbage
Black Grapes

Also when possible drink filtered water.

PEACE
UnS
:)

!!!???!!!

Asparagus INCREASES Uric Acid!!!

That is mostly a concern if you have stones. Stones is a possibility. You need an ultra sound to test for it.

Now that I think about it, that might be more likely than damage from drugs or alcohol.

Asparagus is a 'cool drying' food in Chinese medicine, and its bitter which stimulates the liver to produce bile.....its good food, might be slightly anti-inflammatory, but will make stones worse and not better.
