And what do you suppose we do?
Sorry to quote myself, but I had a thought.
Most of us regular bluelighters spend at least some time nearly every night, and we're always on top of what is going in on the media, and we discuss as we should being a drug discussion forum.
Sadly our efforts of speaking up on this forum mostly go from one casual drug user to another instead of getting to where we want our voices to be heard.
So how do we do that?
This is what I've been thinking over whilst I've been at work these last few days, we need our voices to be heard, not in some angry protest. But consistently and with evidence. When I started reading this forum whilst I was a user I was very against the legalisation of most drugs, and was pretty much convinced that my views would not change. These days I find myself not only as a drug user, but a drug enthusiest, always looking for a way to encourage people to broaden their harizons and expand their mind.
So what changed my views?
It is simply bluelighters, kind words and strong minds, we are elite's in drug knowledge and a force to be wreckoned with. So what I've been thinking is we have to find other threads, beyond bluelight and into mainstream political threads. Places where we will be slammed for our views, but with time and persistence maybe we could get somewhere.
I'm very tired, but this doesn't seem impractical, we spend so much time speaking with people who agree with us, what we need to do is convert anti-drug politicians into people who see the world the way we see it. Where we control what we do with our own bodies, a world where knowledge comes first, and controlling people comes last.
If anyone thinks this is a good idea I'd love for people to keep discussing it and then we can work out which forums would be ideal and what our next steps could be.
PLUR.
