What happens if you are caught with a couple of pills on you at a festival in WA?

Probably got his ass handed to him because he was a teacher. Supposed to be role models etc. etc. though half the teachers at my school were on drugs, had one text me couple years after finishing year 12 asking if I knew where they could get some meth lol. Australian education system at its finest
 
Let me reiterate for those who still don't get it. My friend did not get locked up, just a conviction recorded against his name. I'm surprised by the confusion...

It was a well known dance event and they actually had a separate entry line for Victorians, probably due to our shocking drug abuse record at such events.

People from all walks of life use drugs, from teachers through to law enforcement. Getting high feels good and it doesn't matter if you're an underprivileged person or very well off.

Reminds me of that Simpson's quote "It smells like the art teachers office" :)

Obviously the venues always pay lip service and say they refuse entry for anyone carrying drugs, but why aren't you allowed in after you've left the station. I've heard similar things happen in Vic for weekend events too. You get a court date and for some reason are no longer allowed to attend the festival

Is there anything from stopping you from going home and reprinting a ticket? Most festivals these days provide reprintable tickets. Although thats only the electronic festivals (that I've noticed). BDO and Soundwave actually sent me a physical ticket.

Also, not to hijack the thread, but I've a similar question. I've read in most other threads on BL that the police can only strip you down to your dacks (underwear) to search you. But a friend recently got searched after a police officer saw him consume a pill. they took him to a tent, got him in his tighty whiteys and asked him to lift them up, and move his genetalia so they could see under/around it. I always thought (from reading here, in QLD at least) that that wasn't legal? Am I missing something?
 
^It's called a strip search, and is legal, at least in vic.

It's not commonly done, but if they have good reason (like seeing you eat a bikkie) - they'll do it.

Usually if its 'random' a frisk is performed, if you pass that - you're let leave.

If you're taken to the watch-house in Perth, their protocol is to fully strip search anyone coming in, such a terrible experience, wasn't there for a drug related nor violence reason but they still do it :(:\

your cops seem harsh on minimal amounts, the police in ireland wouldnt bother arresting you unless you had at least 10
