Sigh... so after being present and having to deal with the second full scale psychedelic freakout I've been witness too (Nudity, running, cops, the whole bit), I talked to my parents about their psychedelic experiences. Although they had friends with difficult trips, they don't seem to have my propensity for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. One was clearly an issue of too high a dose, the other was a fellow I didn't know very well with some apparent childhood trauma. I know I'm not responsible for their choices, and in general I don't blame myself, I still feel like there's more I could have done in the intervening stages. Once they were delirious and confused maybe I could have done something differently to help them ride it out. I don't know, you can't trip for someone else...
Not sure what I'm getting at, but I wanted to share the thought.
