^ what about the torque range though? Some people prefer that to bhp or kw ratings. The basic SS Commodore will put down 530Nm via the back wheels where as the Lan Evo will only do 366Nm across all four tyres.

I had a Lancer Evo VIII a few years back. It was a great car but in the end the insurance premiums where just too painful
 
Yeah, Evo's and WRX's were always my car of choice, until they both changed the models for worse. Now they're like family sedans not rally cars :\
 
What did you guys think of the Holden Adventra?

Heard they stopped making the Holden One tonners, that's a shame. The Falcon ones are nice though :)

Yeah, it's all a matter of preference I guess. Can't see myself ever using any of it, except for some offroading on weekends :p I'm mainly a fan of the Evo's looks.
 
Holden Adventra's aren't too bad if thats the type of thing you're after.

Basically just a chunky wagon really isn't it? Interestingly it is in a strange spot within the market, it falls awkwardly in between station wagon and soft-roader. If you want a wagon then just go an buy a wagon, but if you want a wagon that can take on some slight rough terrain then why not just go for a soft-roader like a Territory for example.

If you were serious about a car like the Adventra though then you would really have to go and get a good look at a Volvo XC70 which I think is the best car in that AWD wagon market
 
It is just a chunky wagon really, I think it'd only perform well off-road in the field it's shown in, notice it's not on top of a mountain :D
 
Someone I know says that the only thing AWDs are for is in the snow.

HSV's arent overpriced for what you get!

Housemate has a senator and one of the nicest cars i have driven! Plenty of power and really comfortable to drive!
 
Civ5 is good too, but I don't have the ability to sit still for so long :P I still like RTS games though, sometimes.
