There are tourism ads for the states in Aus? lol that's a fine joke. Our gov is broken, Obama hasn't fixed anything so far. I am still out of work. There are a lot of broke fuckers in the states. I guess that's why there are ads for people to come here and spend their money.

There is a lot to do and see in Calif... that's def no lie. We have enough amusement parks to go to and you can get tickets to be in the audience for all the shows they televise from Hollywood. Venice Beach is a little taste of the sixties vibe. There are a lot of raves and great massives, not to mention Coachella, which is amazing. Calif has a lot to do if you have the money.

Will agree with the government thing though. At least abbot never got the top job. Now that would be scary! Very scary! :X

Yea sounds awesome, I would defiantly wanna check out your beaches, Coachella and your raves..I'm pretty sure they piss over anything here downunder haha

No, I live inland. It takes between one and two hours for me to get to the beach, depending on traffic. It takes less than an hour for me to get to Big Bear Lake though, where we get snow in the winter and people go up for snowboarding and such.

What makes Southern California so popular is the various climates around here. I can go to the beach for the day, or I can go up to the mountains for the day, or I can go out to the desert for the day. There is just about something for everybody in California.

Which is why Southern California is so overcrowded... there are a scary number of people here. I don't know how we keep building new housing developments further and further out. I get real fucking sick of the commercials telling us we are having a drought and/or we have to conserve energy in the summer because if they had not built all these thousands of homes this year and last year and every year since whenever, there would be enough water and power.

Basically, we wouldn't keep having to pay more and more for using less and less. But the building has slowed down since the housing market bottom fell out. At one point houses in my area were going for like half a million... stupidest shit in the world. Everybody got their wake up call though, now houses are barely selling.
 
Similar location for me here in oz! Two hours to the snow and 1 1/2 hours to the beach in small town. Would love to be back in the city but cant justify such a big mortgage and rent is expensive. Only a bit over an hour from the city so not too bad!

Winter Solstice is Dec. 21. That's the official first day of winter for us. Just shy two months from now. It's hot still... suppose to be 90 F (32 C) this week. I hate hot. I wish I lived in Ireland. Seriously.

Senators, yeah. I think HSVs are overpriced anyway... a wagon or ute would be tops though. Is that an Evo? I like something at least the size of a 6 or more.
