Migraines from snorting roxys? Please no.

This has happened to me 2 or 4 times, my tolerance is around 100-120mg's of roxicodone.. and when i would take one blue, maybe 2 i would get a serious headache from hell.

It would get so bad sometimes i would puke, and slight symptoms of withdrawal.... so there's the answer in a nutshell.

I see. That is unfortunate that your body rejects it and on occasion, induces nausea. Have you ingested, IV'd or smoked them before?
 
for me personally i feel that 1 og oc is stronger, FOR ME, than 3 30's. but thats just me

there have been occasions where i get crazy headaches after snorting oxycontin, and one of my good using buddies said when he snorts a roxy and oxy together he gets a real bad headache.
 
I feel asleep from a mscontin with no tolerance and had a terrible headache. I'm guessing this was from a lack of oxegen and a low tolerance.a headache from snorting oxy is usually due to a low tolerance.

Try this: crush a blue and put the powder in a bottle cap or shot glass, add water to dilute it and drink it. Add a few more drops of water after drinking to make sure you got it all out. It kicks in just as fast as snorting. :)
 
You stuffed or irritated your sinuses which induces a pressure. The pressure is what's causing the migraine.
Can be caused by bad sniff technique, sinus sensitivity or garbage powder. <--- Probably this

The reason why you feel the pain is because you snorted the painkiller so it made it last shorter than usual so after...like you say 1 hour the painkilling potential of the medicine was gone.

What I would do if I were in your ambiguous situation is I would take ORAL oxy...as small as 10 mg gives you 100% pain relief. Just do like the chick above says...
 
Crushing a Instant release roxicodone and swallowing it, is not going to speed anything up. The pill is already instantly released, and breaks up very fast in your body.

Drinking some coffee and taking a aspirin/ tylenol works great.
 
I have a pretty high tolerance. I can easliy snort 5 OC 80s in a day, but if I sniff even a half of a roxi I have a killer headache within 15 20 min. I have no idea why the OC do not give me a headache what so ever but even just a little bit of roxi will. I have tried numerous brands and it always yeilds the same result. I switched back to taking them oraly and recently started IVing them because of these terrible headaches. I have tried taking tylenol or advil before snorting them and it seems to help but the amount I do throughout the day, its really bad taking that much tylenol. My friends don't have this problem all, just me, it really sucks. But since you have only experienced this one time, it is impossible to know if the roxi was the sole reason for you headache. The only way to know for sure is to experiment with it and figure out if you are like me...but I can def tell you from my own personal experience that it is very possible that snorting the roxi caused your headache and if so you will either have to try taking tylenol before snorting it and see if that works (taking it during or after will not prevent it though, you have to take it enough in advance that it is working in your system before you sniff the pill) or find another way to do it like orally, plugging, or IV. If you decide to do it by IV then you need to look up exactly how to because there are so many things that can be harmful if you don't do everything correctly.

it happens to me about 20% of the time. doesn't matter if it's roxy,oxy,heroin,morhine or what have you. this mostly happens toward the end but tonight i i.v.ed about 30mg and got a headache after only an hour or less. currently have a bad headache that's really unhappy about me moving my head and while i'm not puking ,yet, i'm naseaus.

it doesn't seem to matter at all if i'm snorting,i.v.ing or eating them.

watch out for your eye's OP. remember that your pupils are constricted and don't want to process a ton of light. so stay away from things that are backlite and close to you face. such as any phone with a large display,i=pod.i-pad, and t.v.

make sure you're hydrated before hand and maybe ease into your dosage. this is fairly common from what friends have told me about there own use, and from what i know about mine.

Roxi 30's are my drug of choice. :) I make a habit to not use them frequently at all, so i have a low tolerance and generally only take 1/4 to a half at a time, then the other half afew hours later.

Anyways, I know this may seem like to simple a solution...but could the headaches just be from the lights/music or from sitting/laying for a long time then getting up really quickly, or walking.

I know that ive gotton naseuous (sp?) from sitting really relaxingly in my nod mode when i got up suddenly to get something in the other room...

When i was full on addicted to opiates first thing i would do when my eyes opened up in the AM would be either crush a oc or roxi and snort or parachute ms contins whatever i had at the time. Even if i didnt do any more the rest of the day that morning dose makes your whole day so good.
 
Every time I have snorted them i have awakened in the morning with a head-splitter, I mean bad, bad, bad. But when I swallow them, I wake up fine, i think it may have something to do with the sinuses in my head.
 
OK, I gotta ask this: what in the heck is everyone talking about being able to snort oxys???? It used to be, about 4-5 yrs ago, one could easily grind and rail oxys, but NOW????---all the pills I've seen are made in some strange new way which makes them chewy and clumpy, so that when you do grind them up they dont turn to any powder-like substance one can gleefully snort, they're like sticky, gooey clumps that one def cannot snort. So am I the only one who has noticed this? Anyone, have advice on dealing w/this goopy stuff?
 
Ive gotten hella migraines my whole life and Ive also been an opiate addict for many many years. sometimes if i overdue it a lil bit I get a slight throbbing pain in my head. \sometimes i pop a few excedrn right before snorting anything (roxy or otherwise) as a precaution. Really dirty H can cause a migraine but Ive never experienced that with pills and rarely with H. Anyhoo, I'd say its probably just a coincidence or perhaps your body reacting to something new (which it only does while the something IS new lol) I would be surprised if it happened twice in a row (but interested so let everyone know :p) Theres really only one way to find out...
 
I get headaches from opiates. I have gotten a terrible headache from pretty much every opiate. Headache is listed as a possible side effect of opiates. The worst ones I get come from Opana. I love opana, but I have gotten some serious migranes off of opana.
 
^pollypharmacy: No it,s not just you. See the "megathread" about this subjects. You will find hundreds of like-minded folk ;-). It's very well-known (among those educated in pharmaceuticals) new formulation.
