I've snorted an oc 40 before, and it was amazing. But I just got a roxy 30 and snorted it, and went to sleep like 45 minutes aftwards, and woke up like 30 minutes later with the worst migraine of my life. I threw up for hours, and I have a pretty high tolerance, I can take around 100mg of oxycodone. And all i snorted was 30mg. Was this caused by the roxy? Because i'm thinking about trying to snort a roxy again to see what happens, but if it might happen again i'm not going to. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

I highly doubt it was caused by the roxi, probably just a coincidence. I have woke up in the morning after a night of abusing opiates with a massive headache though, but this is hours after not an hour and a half after a single dose

I've gotten some really bad headaches from doing roxy 30's before. It's kinda weird in that it doesn't happen all the time considering the amount that I usually do (30 mg/day) but every couple of weeks I'll just get a really bad headache from that stuff.

Funny you mention this.. I use 15mg roxi and sometimes 10/325 perc. I do get headaches from the 15mg roxi's usually when I do alot the night before and do some in the morning the next day or afternoon. Roxi is strong and instant release, even stronger IMO than the oxy in an oxy 80. Roxi's can give you headache's often if you snort it often during the day. Try smaller bumps or lines. Try 5 mg lines.. You don't need a lot of roxi to feel it and 30 mgs at once is a hell of a lot IMO, especially if you use a few times duruing the day.. Thats dam expensive as well and not needed.

Agree with what Opioid420 said take little bumps and space them out more, I used to get masssive ass headaches with the roxys when i would just rail huge lines; they faded away when i spaced them out a bit more and i slowed it down a bit more. I don't know why tho maybe your brain just locks up when that much shit goes into it that fast.

I'm a a migraneur, so anything that irritates my sinuses is going to give me a massive headache (binders, fillers, or cut + up my nose = no go). So I don't snort anything anymore -- unless it's really quality cocaine

I know it sounds uncomfortable and homosexual to a lot of people 8) , but seriously consider plugging. It basically works the same way as insufflation, but the membranes in your rectum have more surface area than in the nostrils. Thus, more is absorbed, the high kicks in just as fast and lasts longer. :D However, like I stated before, I know for a lot of people it's just not their thing.

If your tolerance is 100mg+ of oxycodone, then I'd be quite surprised if snorting only 30mg caused these symptoms. Usually people get the unbearable headache and nausea the morning after either a binge, or dosing too much before bed. Sure you only took 30mg that night?
It certainly isn't the "roxy", if you have this reaction to oxy or opiates, then there is no reason you wouldn't have the same reaction to an OC or generic oxy pill as well.

Snorting oxycodone in various forms has given me nasty headaches on occasion. In general taking too many (or not enough) opiates can give you a nasty headache when you're dependant. I agree that it's quite an annoying side effect. I doubt your issues are specific to roxicodone, you're just experiencing headaches now for whatever reason. It won't happen every time you dose. There is the remote possibility that you're allergic to some filler or binder in the pill, but it's unlikely. If you wanted to, you could make an oxy solution doing a cold water extraction on the pills and snort the liquid using a metered nasal spray bottle. The cause of your headache may have been sinus related. You should try to irrigate your nose (just flush it out with saline) before and after snorting (like 30 minutes after so you don't waste as much).
Also, make sure you're drinking plenty of liquids. Dehydration is the leading cause of headaches.

True oxy=oxy but IR > ER in my opinion. Crushing an 80 doesn't completely make it ir. Of course snorting makes it better but I guess its just a matter of opinion but I'd rather have 2 30mg IR than 1 oc 80mg, just my 2 cents

that was the only migraine ive had afaik (i only now say it was a migraine, if we both had similar experiences... maybe i just got a headache and you got a migraine after snorting and passing out, but that was one of the worst headaches of my life)

I used to think my opiate headaches were caused by a small explosive device (like the things in Mission Impossible 3). I'm not so paranoid now, thank god (or maybe I was right...).

Yes, crushing an OC80 DOES make it COMPLETELY IR. Of course, to do this you must take off the coating on the outside..
If you'd rather have two 30mgIRs over one 80mgER (that'd be 60mg vs. 80mg in case you are mathematically challenged) then you're a bit... dumb.

It doesn't have to be a lot..... the therapeutic prescribed amount PO can cause it if I happen to fall asleep shortly after. If I stay awake, no headache. If I catnap for 5 minutes, no headache. If I only sleep for an hour, light headache. 2 hours or more, it's full-on.
It only started happening after a couple years on opiates. I suspect shallow breathing may somehow lead to these headaches ? I'm also concerned that sleep apnea might be involved. Can't think of any other reason why this would occur.
Relief is best acquired by soaking a bandana in water and freezing it, then tying around my forehead. Very effective, must be dilated/inflammed vessels in the head (fairly generic but notable)
