When you are in the middle of a difficult trip...

it was the compassion, love and acceptance mdma bestows you with that was missing from my trips.

Eat more acid.... seriously, there is nothing like a high dose acid trip.

Get some good tabs, ones that normal people don't eat more than 2 of and gobble down like 10 with some xanax on hand in case things get too crazy.

LSD is made of love, compassion, and acceptance. You just have to push it a little farther to shatter the ego that prevents you from experiencing it.

That being said, I don't really get bad trips. I have had people try to make me freak out on psychedelics.... 10mg of DOB sucked utter fucking nutsack though.... 24 hours of being out of my mind on an amphetamine fueled trip. It was difficult, but mostly because we were so fucked up, tweeked, and tripping too hard to do anything constructive other than sit there and feel intense.

Lets see, I dropped 5 hits of acid that were making friends of mine lose their shit on 2 and then railed 150mg of ketamine at the peak. Reality folded in on itself. For the better part of it i wasn't even aware of myself. I thought i had gone crazy but i came back down and was fine, ketamine is fucked up but its pretty forgiving. large amounts of LSD + sizable amount of great ketamine = whaaaat theee fucccccck?

^ It does seem odd, however, that you thought something was "missing" from all of your LSD trips.

When I finally experienced a breakthrough LSD trip (which took quite a few attempts), the experience itself was unimaginable, let alone something more.

^ lol. lololololol. lol. Everyone responds differently to psychedelics.

Out of principle I will never take MDMA, nor will I take any of the PCP-related dissociatives, because I refuse to take anything that is suspected of having any degree of neurotoxicity -- call me stubborn or closed-minded, but that's the way I choose to treat my body. So I guess I'll never REALLY know what a candy-flip is like. But, trust me, homie -- my acid trips aren't hollow.

Hmm... odd. Ive done many hundreds of LSD trips. I never experienced LSD as something that is even subject to the "breakthrough" effect. It always seemed on a linearly increasing continuum... with effects getting stronger as dose goes higher, but there clearly NOT being some "threshold" or "trigger" point where effects had a radical shift in character.

Can you try to briefly summarize your LSD experience both below and above this "breakthrough" dosage?

Apparently you have a very unique and unusual reaction to it that would be interesting to hear more about.

please stay on topic if possible, make a new thread if you've come across an important question.

everything in here is really sweet by the way. great progression and conglomerate of ideas.

I don't think there's any big secret to handling uncomfortable feelings on an LSD trip. You handle them exactly like you handle uncomfortable feelings in real life. Feelings don't last forever, you can choose to think about something else, there's always a sunny day around the corner etc etc.

I'm not a different person when I'm on LSD - I'm just the same person with LSD in their system. No biggie.
