I have tried it. Believe me, I really like it. But StaySedated really loves it.
Well we are all in the same boat here. I got three pills left just sitting in my med cabinet, and I think about running out every time I see them...
That must be tough. I could never save them, I'd munch them up immediately, I have no self control. I'd eat two of them today and save the other for tomorrow night. If you going to just keep them sitting in the med cabinet all alone I'll take em off ya and put them to use. My brain could use a release of GABA right now.
Eszopiclone is just more potent...
You think? I always thought the opposite. Just me.
Lunesta always gave me a metal taste in my mouth. I believe that was Lunesta...
I just got my Rx of Lunesta (Eszopiclone) maybe this could move to an ADD thread but, I was assured by the pharmacist that Lunesta acts differently in the brain than Ambien. I had told here I was wary of paying the HIGH price (mods delete this if its too far) for lunesta compared to other meds I have been Rx'd for sleep when I didn't even know if it would work; Ambien did NOT work for me.
Now I'm not a specialist on neurochemistry but I do a lot of research about sleep drugs, because it concerns me. Can someone tell me if there is a difference between how zolpidem and eszopiclone act on the brain?
I thought they both bind to GABA-A receptors. perhaps its just that Zolpidem (Ambien) binds more specifically to GABA-A (alpha-1)? I thought they were both selective to alpha-1 hence causing sedation/hypnotic effects with very minimal anxiolytic effects
-You do research on the med you want for your specific claim. (Disorder/ Illness) This will not work for pain medication, if you have no medical record for tolerance, they will refuse to give you stronger meds in a heartbeat.

Bit off-topic, but, I'll just say when I broke 4 bones in my thumb/hand a ~couple years ago. After being given a script for '30mg codeine/500mg APAP' tablets when I was ready to go home before waiting for the operation I needed (couple weeks later-on). I immediately and politely said I had abused opiates in the past recreationally and the codeine wasn't going to touch the pain. The doctor looked annoyed, probably because I'd told the truth and my opiate tolerance was too high at the time for codeine to help. So he then wrote me a script for 20x 10mg oxycodone IR and 20x 50mg tramadol IR. The doc probably only upped the script to stronger opiates due to him only needing to write the one script knowing I wouldn't be needing any pain killers within a month atleast.
l after the lunesta fail, looks like I'll be sticking to benzo's.
I hope to finally get an rx for something stronger for sedation at night.
My psych said, in response to me telling him klonopin doesn't sedate me but helps great with anxiety, "try taking higher doses"
hopefully I can eventually move on to something like temezepam or nitrazepam for nighttime use only.
Does anyone know if you can slow the tolerance build with benzo's by combing them with pot?
If you were certain your pot had sedation/anxiolytic qualities (a la Indica or something crossed with ruderalis) then persay could you replace a 15mg dose of temzepam with say, half the pil (7.5 mg_ plus a few tokes ona joint or better yet from a vaporizer?
No, weed slows down the production of gaba.
