Ever met someone from Bluelight?

I have indeed :) The majority are amazing people have become friends even if we don't talk every day, and for the most part, they mix well with my non-BL crowd. Hell, some have met my dad!

I really want to go (back) to Europe and to Australia - as was said above, it's great to have friends all over the world.

lol! I actually am one of those who indeed met your Dad!
 
I met my bestest friend on BL almost 10 yrs ago. I also was in a relationship with someone I met on BL, we lasted 7 years. And I have probablly met 100's of BLR's.

Tink, we were trying to form some sort of meetup in the California thread but it never happened. Did you meet all these BLers here in So Cal?

No.... all over the country and actually the world. I am recently back from a BL break. I am old school, don't know the new people.

I have only been in scal for 2 years. Moved here for work. I am looking to get back into the scene and making more friends.

Two years is long enough for you to know where most everything is for sure. I would move for work also, if I could find work... I'm a pink slipped teacher. I applied for over 100 positions. I got three interviews.


No job though.

I've met some fucking awesome people through BL who I'd never have come into contact with otherwise. Some of my bestfriends are BLer's. I've only ever met people through the site and never just met someone and found out they were, even though I ask every druggie I meet if they go on =D

He lurks the board but can't be bothered to register. We joke that I am his parent rather than the other way around. If he had his way, we'd all live in hippie communes and spend all our money on camping equipment. I imagine he'd fit in well at a psytrance event or Australian doof despite his 60th birthday coming up.

(For those who do not know him, he wears a suit to work every day.)

I shamelessly admit to browsing BL at school in the hopes that someone comes up to me one day and says "OMG, you read BL?" It will be love at first sight. =D
 
When I was a mod for Ecstasy Discussion, I used to attend raves up in the bay area of Cali with my Bluelight shirt (yeah, some guy here, maybe Frizzantik, if I remember correctly, had a Cafepress website for BL merch - it's probably still online) in the hopes that I'd meet some Bluelighters and, you know, answer questions and what not.

At the very least, I hoped to spread the word a bit. It didn't work out as much as I wanted it to. I was always trying to go for more active, off-site harm reduction, as opposed to the "armchair" harm reduction we do on-site. Most people at raves just want to blow their brains out chemically and could care less about responsibility. Moreover, trying to get some kid toasted on three pills and a baggie's worth of ketamine to remember the URL for Bluelight is a tad difficult. :)
 
I've met about a dozen BL'ers. They've all been absolutely wonderful individuals with the exception of one nutter (an ex-BL'er now) whom I hope to never encounter again.

None of my friends/aquaintences outside of BL have ever joined or turned out to be harbouring secret accounts though :(
 
I would love to meet some BLers but I doubt they would like to know me :(

I haven't met anyone yet, but i would like to. It would be cool if there were some meet-ups around, Chicago-area would be my best bet. Anyone know where to get bluelight shirts, etc.?
