Ever met someone from Bluelight?

havent met anyone from here yet, but it i would be nice to meet somebody from here

Oh, definitely. I almost met up with MDAO when he was here, and LadyInTheSky lives about 10 minutes from me. I'm just not the type to seek people out and ask to hang out. :) I'm "that girl" who never initiates hanging out. All my friends and SOs know this and have to deal with me. :)
 
Makes perfect sense, Lysis. I feel like "that girl" too a lot. I just wait for peeps to hit me up!

Calderone what dirty lowdown Bler stood you up? tar and feathers sounds right.

I know I know it is beautiful. So many beautiful stories about people meeting on Bluelight. I wrote something but I've really been trying to train myself to minimize personal information on Bluelight. I like to share privately about my life...it started to creep me out about Bluelight and Facebook how much they could be windows into your very private personal life if you let them.

Not yet would like to meet one in particular I think he is in my local are. .will probly run into him at an event coming soon. Liquidinsanity a true roller. !!
 
Matsuo & Deja - i totally understand, lovelies <3 Up to a certain point, i'm an open book on here, but there is a metric fucktonne that is for IRL only :)
 
Haha yeah, the problem is I used to be a super huge gigantic open book on here. And now there is a lot of my life archived that I can't take back. I'm cool with it but it's made me think twice about what I share... not that anyone would hopefully be such a stalker to search my old posts and what not but you never know and I've dealt with creepy people in the past.

This thread is interesting because for me, bluelight has been a bit of a portal for important happenings in my life. There have been a number of people I've met through this site, who I feel have been extremely important people to me. There have been times I took a long break from this site, only to get a sudden urge to go back-and then meet someone who ended up being a serious friend shortly after.

I'm also on a number of other forums and this "portal of important meetings" has only ever happened to me here. Interesting energy, bluelight has.
 
i've met 75 bluelighters in the time i've been here.

hoping to add another this weekend. the relationships i have with people exclusively online are important to me but meeting people with whom i've connected online, in real life makes a web-only relationship pale into near insignificance.

i've met some exceptionally cool, undoubtedly interesting, beautiful people from bluelight in the real world...

i've lost count of how many BLers i have met. but as others have said, many of them have become good friends of mine. its an awesome feeling to know that you can go almost anywhere in the world and find a friend :)
 
Yes, one of my best friends still! We met in person in 2006, I believe.

Oh, and Matsuo too! Hey, I know what you mean about the open book thing. I actually changed my location to "in the woods" because our city is so small that everyone from here would know who I am..and I need to meet deja. Anyone who is with you must be a sweetheart.
 
I met a BLer screennamed Nikol a couple years ago, and her BL boyfriend, whose name I forget.

absent_minded and I had a rendezous or two in parking lots in Seattle (not really meeting).

ryanlaughin came to the city I lived in last year on business and we had a great week and saw a baseball game.

designed_reality and I became quite good friends over the course of a year or so, as well as Chico and ATX4fun.

A certain Bluelighter invited me to Full Moon Party on a mountaintop this weekend (too far).

MidnightBaby and I, after more than 2 years of exchanging emails, have plans to meet up in 2011.

That's about it! :)
 
I've met someone who posts on bl sometimes. But met them from elsewhere... not here...
 
I've lost count how many wonderful people I've met in person here. :)

I've done everything from hiking trips to fabulous dinner dates, from exploring hyperspace to even sharing living space with several fancy Bluelighters that you guys probably know. This website has done more for me in terms of hooking me up with amazing friendships than Facebook or MySpace ever did (although it has brought me similar levels of drama from time to time - sigh).
