Its too bad there are no bupe doctors. Its a shame to hear that you have to go onto Methadone. Real shame...

As for your question. Talk to the doctor at the clinic and make sure that you tell him everything that you are on. Hopefully he will decrease some of those doses. Your on a lot of depressants. Abusing your doses for recreational purposes could easily lead to respiratory depression.

Ya i got pretty excited about trying out this bupe and worked up to calling for at least a week or so only to find out that the clinic in question was actually based in Qubec,I was pretty bummed out.
Ive read alot about the bupe as well as methadone bothe on this site and online everywhere i could find info ,and it definatly seems the bupe is way better.
Ive only herd bad things about methadone basically.
Though i know if yer tryin to kick and H habit it may work well enough but i still realy need my other pills,and after reading about dieing on the shit while on benzos im alittle frightend to say the least..
I will call tomorrow i hope (fingures crossed) and talk to a doc maybe they know someone that dose perscribe bupe that i ahvent found out about yet..

I would have just gone and did the methadone and took my pills ass ussual if it wasnt for reading on the dark side from this site so cudose,this site may have very well saved my life...

Isn't it exactly that risk - and therefore the increased exposure to medmal liability - which leads to some clinics having a no benzos rule?

I am not sure about liability laws, but the cause of a no benzo rule at a clinic is definitely this very strong potentiation I'm describing...

yeah, there is a serious risk of overdose from combining benzos and methadone.

what kills most people with drug interactions is repiratory depression. opioids and depressants do both and when combined the effect is even more. the thing with methadone is that it is a fully synthetic agonist and with an incredibly long half life. this means once you take it, you are going to have resp. depression for a long ass time, not just a couple hrs. so if you mess up you could not be breathing for 10 hrs, not just one.

there are many people that have died from the exact combination you are speaking of. something long acting like clonazepam with something long acting like methadone = trouble. the biggest thing to consider is the dose. if you are taking prescribed doses of each that are monitored by a dr, thats ok. but if you double dose your done on the weekend and take a fistful of kpins in hopes of getting high, THAT is where you end up cold and blue.

Yes the combination CAN kill you, the risk is increased taking the two together BUT if you respect the prescribed dosages, no doctor in his right mind will put you on dangerous dosages you will be just fine... i used to take 90mg methaadone and 3mg xanax and 4 mg lormetazepam....

just stay within the limits of your tolerance

May i ask what opiate you are addicted to and how much you take daily? also what and how much benzos do you take?
