[MEGA] Indica vs. Sativa

Sativa I am disabled and need all the energy I can get after I smoke. indica is still good for a good couch lock.

:!

I bet you I could give you the "stoniest shit", some mega (whatever they're calling it these days) kush and call it super silver haze and you'd have all kinds of energy.

Oh stoner mythology.... I thought this board was for the intelligent discussion of cannabis use?

^^You tryna say that indica/sativa/ruderalis differentiation is mythological?

Hmmmm.... I'm not quite sure I can respect a person that ignorant, if that is what you're saying.

what an ass it is opinion

right on

Many people can't possibly know for sure whether their weed is an indica or a sativa. But I think we can all agree that there are different highs produced by different weed. So for the purpose of this thread lets assume that any weed that gives us energy is a sativa, any weed that sedates us is an indica, and any weed with mixed effects is some kind of hybrid. And lets try not to be dicks and act like were better than everybody...

Right on!! Extremely well-put.:\

Are you joking? Do you not realize the vast majority of weed now a days is all crossbred indica/sativa strains? If there was a difference there certainly isn't one now. You don't just buy a 100% sativa or indica strain off the street.

I just don't believe in misinforming, that's all.

I smoke weed every night. All different kinds of "sativa" and "indica", well guess what. I get the same effect every night. Considerable analgesia and lots of racing/abstract thoughts. There is one high, that's it.

If you want to argue with me feel free. I encourage it. Please tell me the difference in pharmacology between your "energetic" and "sedated" highs.

I think to say a sativa does x and an indica does y might be true most of the time but I also think this is somewhat of a generalisation. I have known some sativa dominant plants to do what an indica dominant plant would be expected to do and vice versa. I think it depends on the strain and how it was grown. For example, some people harvest when 50% of the trichomes are starting to turn cloudy and there are a few golden colour ones. However some people harvest earlier than this and some later. This affects the ratio of THC to CBD and other cannabinoids changes, with relatively more CBD in later harvests, thus affecting the subjective and objective qualities of the high. Also, the length of the cure can affect the raio as well. Curing is the slow process of partial decarboxilation of oxygen molecules from THC and plant material. Resulting in a clearer, stronger high as well as an improved taste, smell and burn. I have also seen reports that plants grown under UVB lights have a higher percentage of CBD vs THC but have no way of verifying it, even though I believe it to be true.

So, what I'm trying to say is that there are many other factors apart from simply whether the plant is an indica or sativa that determine the type of weed you get.

Ding ding ding we have a winner.

ur disregarding fact man...

fact? show me your sources.

I cant say I like one or the other better, however i've gotten some of the most amazing high's from Strong Sativa's. I'm talking about the sativa's that get you so wired you cant sleep, just a euphoric high.

But usually when I smoke strong sativas i'll need a indica to go to bed. So that's why I prefer indica/sativa blends.. Such as master kush. 50/50.

But if I had to choose I wouldn't be able to. I love all good weed, but sativas can be nice for when i'm busy, indica's nice for when i want to chill. The blend for when i want to get supa high.

There is still pure staiva strains grown and available.

There are still a number of "pure "sativa strains availbla around here,Dunrban Poison for one grown locally,Malwai Gold, Mexican Sativa gorwn in the US,etc..also Afghani is a pure Indica strain as well as many strains in northern Africa and Hawaii...

I normally do not use THC. I'm prescribed fentanyl for back injury that is effective at curbing the pain, but not helping me with my movement (I still don't like to bend and I feel stiff, etc.). This has started to make a lot of sense to me and so I tapered off of it. But then the pain returned. I then tried these capsules with a drop or so of a black liquid in it supposed to contain some form of a hash? extract and the first time I took it I had mild hallucinations and I was completely relaxed and painfree.

Then I got some more from the MM shop and these didn't have the same effect. They seemed to be about 25% of the other kind and there're no hallucinations, etc. It's really a body feeling and it's not great for pain for too long.

As a nonexperienced user of THC, is this generally something to expect between batches (since I assume there is no standardisation) OR is this an indica vs. japonica thing?

Sounds like the 2nd group of pills you purchased was Marinol. A synthetic form of THC & they're garbage, imo. Not sure what you had the 1st time around, but that sounded more feasible & an all-around fun time.
Since you can go to a dispensary, I'd stick with some good weed & vape it, if you don't enjoy tokin by yourself. :\

Keep in mind that study administered doses of up to 10mg/kg THC and 50mg/kg CBD to mice.

When you smoke reefer, you might be ingesting 10mg of THC tops during a heavy smoke session.

In a 75 kg human, that's .13 mg/kg, almost 100x less than the amounts administered to the mice.

My guess is that the pharmacological interactions between THC and CBD are not significant enough at these levels.

Indica v Sativa = placebo effect.

"when you smoke reefer" "a" reefer is weed rolled in a smoking paper...dee de deee
