I believe that you are in serious pain that needs to be taken care of and that the medication your doctor has you on right now is not working as well as it should be.
But I also think that you shouldnt necessarily ask to go back to your last meds. Maybe ask if he could give you "somethign else" for the pain. That may end up being your last med, but it may be somethign new and better than anythign you have tried yet. your limiting yourself to only 2 types of medication when there is a whole world full of different types of pain meds.
Also....keeep in mind what I said about still being in a small amount of pain to prevent addiction. I believe that is monumentally important.
Thank you for your opinion, I really do appreciate it.
I understand what you are saying about the whole totally pain-free and addiction thing.... I have never been totally pain-free but the last meds (OCs/OPs) I was on were working fine for me, they allowed me to function normally (somewhat) .... It was me who was an IDIOT and got SO SCARED after reading everything about the OPs and also trying them myself that I ran to him thinking he would help, that's when/why he changed my meds .... idk why I did this, I think I just made a fast bad decision because I got scared and psyched myself out. I just didn't want to be miserable, I was trying to avoid it. I think everything I read about the OPs made me "think" that they didn't work as well when in reality I did not give them a REAL chance.... kicking myself in the ass right now, very hard. I did this to myself and I have to deal with it.
And thanks again for writing back to me .... it REALLY has helped me. I appreciate it.
