festivals 2010

ohhhh now THAT ^ is some incentive to go...Can anyone apply for that??

My friend stewarded @ Glasto about 3 years ago and said there was Staff MDMA...pity it all went to shit - otherwise there could be more of the same ;)
 
That's a good idea for Glasto but surely everyone will want to do it and there's only limited tickets. I'd love to go to like might be an idea. Where'd you find out about this?
 
^They emailed me about it. I registered with them to go to the last one but didn't go. To stop touting, you have to register with a digital passport photo and a few details and they give you a number that lasts for years to use when buying tickets
 
the LIFE FESTIVAL crew are havin a party this friday night in the Vaults.
was at it last year and had a brillant nite.
the location is not great and some of the crowd in the club would be dodgy cunts.
still had a good time.
anybody going.

I was in The Vaults a few times a couple of years ago, and I've never seen a worse crowd anywhere in my life. Absolutely diabolical atmosphere; felt like it could kick off at any stage. I bought shit pills off some buzzer, who accosted me later in the night saying I still owed him a tenner. I just gave him the money since I'd say a broken jaw would have set me back a few more quid.

In fairness though, those were trance gigs I was at, which don't draw the nicest punters at the best of times. I'd say it should be a fairly different story for a Neutronyx event.

there are just some dance events in dublin that must be avoided, nothing but scum at any of the really trancey nights or any dj with a big commercial name, the type of lads who even on pills still want trouble, disaster.
 
^ Gonna get up to book my ticket with the £50 deposit, I hope, I think, I will, may as well, fuck it, Yeah, looks like I'm going or wanna go. I watch it on TV every year so may as well try it out
 
Do it! Glastonbury is wicked.

The only downside is its really hard work, its tiring, because its such a big site, but anyone who goes on about it being commercial should really go and visit a few other festivals.
Its the least commercial of any festival its size.

Its a great vibe and the choice of acts on offer is just mindblowing, its far far more than the big stages.

Its always been about drugs, Ive had some mad experiences there.

Im going to do another round of German Festivals next year, Fusion (which is the closest German equivalent - also very druggy), probably Melt! and definitely Sonne Mond Sterne and whatever else grabs my fancy.

If you don't manage to get tickets (the rest of the UK is also trying to book tickets at the same time) the Big Chill is is probably the next best in terms of vibe that Ive found so far

Its stuck to its non-commercial roots as much as it could, whilst still growing to be one huge festival. Il def be up at 9am in the morning phone & laptop in hand waiting to book :D
 
I'd love to go to Glasto but registering for a ticket a year in advance and having to pay for it whether you can actually go or not is no use to me.
 
No way Glasto 2011 sold out within 4 hours. I have been on the phone since 9am (opening time) till after 1pm to be told there sold out, also been on laptop for same time. gutted.

Seetickets you suck balls. The site was down all the time because it was too busy. You couldnt organise a raffle ticket sale for a primary school fundraiser, let alone a major uk festival

Set my alarm for 9AM. Maybe should be earlier sitting waiting but no joy and it was sold out by about 1:30PM. Someone suggested people using Google Chrome, me included, had trouble and the same people that had that trouble got their tics using iPhone's. Mad that you tried phone + internet with no joy.
Another chance again when they put back out the tics that people don't follow up with etc. in April
