That is very strange. You sure you didn't get something caught in there? Doesn't seem to make sense to connect that to the 4-aco-dmt. Happy to hear that it's going away though. It looks painful.
 
yeah I don't think its the 4-aco-dmt that caused it, I mean it only started hours after I was coming down, it's just the only possible connection I can think of. And no, nothing was in there and water I splashed in would've washed anything that may have been in there out anyway. What i find even weirder is that you can see the red is around the edge of the iris at the bottom, I don;t think I've ever seen redness so close to an iris.

But srsly, looks like a fairly normal eye problem. If it doesn't get better in a few days you should go see the optometrist (or whatever the almost-an-eye-doctor-but-not-quite equivalent is in your country). :)
 
I have this problem where I'll think of the perfect dénouement to a story that doesn't exist.

Like just now, in my imagination one character is sitting at a desk writing and the other is sitting across from him. We arrive mid-conversation. The character behind the desk says "But you forget, my friend: The pen is mightier than the sword!" and then he jumps over the desk and stabs the other guy in the throat with the pen, all while the other guy is struggling fruitlessly to un-scabbard his sword in the sitting position. :D

It would be best if both characters were pirates, IMHO.

I can play notes on my keyboard, and go TSS TSS TSS with my tongue at the attack to make them staccato, or I can make slow swelling notes by saying "...ssssSSSS!"

Fuck, this is so much fun. Feels so natural to play a synth this way too.

^ You take the audio signal coming in from the mic, use a tight band bass filter to only allow the "ess" hiss noise through, and block most extraneous noise like clacking keys on your keyboard. Then, you need something, generally called an envelope follower, which will take the amplitude of the "ess", and turn that into a MIDI CC message. If you turn it into MIDI CC #1, it simply acts like a mod wheel.

ess - ESS = 1-127!

And yes, it is SUPER awesome. I used Reaktor -- if you've got a copy, I can tell you exactly how I did it. Do you use FL Studio? I'm pretty much positive that it has a decent envelope follower.

Oh lord - I do so love my psychedelics, been an age since I done LSD because it always gives me an asskicking, so I stayed away from it recreationally...and think I will for a while yet. Everything else works alright in good normal sensible doses though.

How is everyone? and yeah Applecore I shall hit you up when i get home from yoga.

You're right though, I am the PD social type - I spent waaaay too much time in the lounge (nudie thread made me start looking around the REST of the lounge...eep) when I'm using BL.

I'm a little bitter about how, out of all the "free spirit" type art instructors- I ended up with an uptight "classical" style one. I guess I should take this as a healthy challenge.

I know I need the skills this class teaches for my career but I hate the idea of working on artwork and being rushed. Told to "go faster". It's like "bitch what the fuck?". Hhahaha.
 
^ I do believe that it's good to balance rate of work with quality of work -- "optimizing efficiency" is probably a better way of wording it -- even in the arts. One can always spend more time, and end up with an undeniably more finessed result, but you've got to draw the line somewhere.
