scared after lsd month ago

Man, the only advice I have is dont think about it, as hard as that might be it will go away quicker, if you obsess about it though and get anxious, it will just make it worse.

Do you think there is a connection to Cannabis stimulating effects latent from 2C RC's? Similar to you, after I took 2C-I a couple times, I would get a stimulant sensation that would go along with it. One I've never really had much before, I can concentrate and type a lot better, but I get a body load/racy energy feeling like I'm on 40-50mg of Ritalin/Concerta.

The re-activated symptoms might be different, but I'm pretty sure it is connected to smoking weed. Sometimes I feel so racy, its hard to interact with people, I want to pace and jump from one thing to another.

Anyone else had Cannabis bring up after effects (some time after taking a 2C Research chemical?

The ones I hear most frequently associated are 2C-E and 2C-I.

Sadly, I have yet to try *any* of the 2C's. I just haven't come into contact with them (and I have wanted to do 2Cb ever since reading PIHKAL). I know less about this class of drug than any other psyches.

Do you know have there been any long term deletarious effects associated with the 2C's. As in is there any evidence (concrete) that they can have any kind of damaging effect?

tmp?

Psychedelics definitely opened up an entirely new world of potential in cannabis for me. Smoking weed actually wasn't even enjoyable before I took acid.

How come when people have these problems with LSD, Shrooms, DMT, etc., it's so hard to work them out? I mean, if LSD amplifies dormant psychological issues, wouldn't fixing them while sober help you when you trip? If that's not enough, is it possible to do effective psychotherapy on someone who's tripping? Not just verbally, but with many different techniques.

I wish I could chill with people like this and help them through their trip until they didn't have the problem anymore. Not just for that one trip, but ever again. More experienced users should be able to help less experienced users enjoy the experience better.

LOL - I really like your logic. I spend a lot of spare thought pondering this stuff. One of my first truly sentient memories was as a kid - looking up at the stars and thinking "how can they go on forever?" It was my first confrontation of probably the fundamental of all paradoxes and truths. My fascination with Time has also been around as long as I can remember - it's always been my favourite genre of science fiction. I love playing with the paradox, because it seems that I get closer and closer to 'figuring it out' - despite the fact that I know it is unoutfigurable. It's funny, because it's pretty much this paradox that holds the whole universe together (much the way our perception of time is what keeps everything making some semblance of sense). But isn;t that odd - something so seemingly simple is unfathomable, and yet it is this simple, yet unfathomable truth is the very thing that makes everything else make sense. I guess that means that if the fundamental premise holding all things together is not real, then absolutely everything that we think we know about everything has to be completely wrong. The only possible answer is that both are right (also embodied in Yin/Yang) and that Heaven and Hell have no choice but to be the same thing.

I found my answer about 15 years ago. I'd been thinking it all the wrong way round. I was thinking macro when I should have been thinking micro. It's a lot easier to wrap your brain around an infinity that keeps getting smaller than it is an infinite largeness. I was introduced to Fractals by a mathematician friend of mine in Ontario. I must assume that you are familiar with the Mandelbrot Set, given your obvious bent in this direction. The mandelbrot set is, among other things, a mathematical model of infinity - but unique in its nature, in which the 'shape' of the set is found everywhere within it, but each instance slightly different to the last. This model very much goes hand in hand with my description of the multiverse. I found that by playing with the math, you could change the 'universal constant' of the set, and render it in every possible permutation of its shape. I was one of the first people making fractal animations, and discovered that by animating this manipulation of the 'seed', it was possible to observe forces in motion - identical in behaviour to the force of gravity in our own universe. I cite the Mandelbrot set as being "smaller than a breadbox - and bigger than the universe" as where matter breaks down at the subatomic level, mathematics does not - and it is possible to observe true infinity in motion without the paradox ever becoming blurred to the extent that it no longer makes sense.

In order to accomplish what I wanted, I had to pretty much write my own software to interface an Fractal program that could render single images, but not automatically save and manipulate these images. I'm a musician, and I wanted to use the Mandelbrot set as my palette to paint psychedelic videos to my own music. Given the technological and software limitations of the time, the project of making my first fractal video took, including the composition and recording of the music, two years from conception to completion. It was at the time, without any question, the most detailed exploration of the Mandelbrot set in existence. Three years ago I made Chaotic Energy, using state of the art computers and software, and while the difference is totally noticeable, "CHAOS" - my original video - still stands out as a masterpiece.

Given this exchange of messages, I choose to share with you my alter ego - FractalGod. My work with Fractals says more than I could ever put into words. I have put all of my videos up there - about 20 or so - all choreographed to my own music, except for the currently featured video for which I used a song that was my favourite last year. I suggest watching CHAOS first - and then CHATOC ENERGY(Full) next - to contrast the different stages of technological evolution. Actually the featured video is possibly the most awesome of the lot, but it's the one and only video that does not use my own music. Bear in mind that the online versions do not compare the originals - which are fullscreen, high quality desktop versions. It is hard to fail being impressed by this work, given the nature of the object I was working with - although I like to think that at least a reasonable portion of it is my own artistic talent.

Please do check this out. It makes me a little nervous to expose my real identity on Bluelight, but in this case, I think the connection between our chat and my art is worth the exposure. If you're interested I do have DVD's of the desktop versions available - and feel free to spread the word. I have invested 15 years, and thousands - possibly tens of thousands, of computer hours creating this stuff (mercifully much of the initial sequence creation being automated), You;ll find my channel here:

http://www.youtube.com/fractalgod

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

The vids are all between 2 and 9 minutes long, so it won't suck up your whole day (unless you're on acid, in which case you won't want to do anything other than watch them over and over again.

Enjoy,

TMP

I really appreciate you sharing this link with me :D

If you feel more comfortable you can edit your post to simply suggest the link without indicating it is you and I will edit this post as well.

I will check them all out tomorrow when I have more time. I took a quick look at Chaos and was amazed. I highly suggest all bluelighters to check the link out as well and I will definitely share with my friends. I am interested in purchasing the DVDs. You have invested a lot of energy into these projects of devotion and feel free to PM me so we can correspond through e-mail. I'll send you a PM with my e-mail address.

I love how simple the inherent paradox that holds the universe and gives us a sense of linear time is unfathomable. Yet another paradox, unfathomable simplicity. One abstract way I describe this perpetuation is through the recognizable symbol of the yin-yang. Something set off the initial reaction (the big bang), or more likely the actions and reactions have always existed for eternity and some of these reactions involve the creation of new universes. I don't believe in the big bang starting existence as existence has to be eternal, but I do believe that universes are created throughout the multiverse, possibly through breaking off of existing universes.

The way I explain it is through the yin-yang. As all opposites are connected through infinite gradient. They are unique and independent yet they are the same. That is why in the yin-yang there is a seed of white in the black and a seed of black in the white - they are inherently interconnected and simply different permutations of the same unfiied underlying force (God?). The perpetuation of existence is a paradoxical perpetual motion mechanism. Reality perpetuates linearly in circles as the polarities progress in cycles. The polarities of positive and negative create balance which creates the non-static stability necessary for perpetuation.

Read caefully:

The activation of the black polarity causes the black polarity to begin it's cycle. When the black polarity completes it's cycle the act of the black polarity completing it's cycle causes the white seed within the black polarity to activate. The activation of the white seed within the black causes the white polarity to activate. The activation of the white polarity causes the white polarity to begin it's cycle. When the white polarity completes it's cycle the act of the white polarity completing it's cycle causes the black seed within the white polarity to activate. The activation of the black seed within the white polarity causes the black polarity to activate. The activation of the black polarity causes the black polarity to begin it's cycle and the reciprocal process perpetuates.

Our perceivable reality is constantly perpetuating linearly through the progression of perpetual cycles between interconnected complimentary polarities. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and so it continues. The infinite gradient between these interconnected polarities causes infinite extensions to branch off simulataneously. So reality is stabilized through cycles between interconnected polarities which create a stabilized balance, this stabilization allows reality to perpetuate linearly and the interconnected infinite gradients between the polarities branch off infinitely. Time is cyclial, linear, simultaneous and branching off into every possible direction.

Your Persian Paradox stating "that if there are an *infinite* number of timelines, they could not all have already happened, nor would they be able to at some point already have happended - at least not in a static universe" simply means that infinity is simultaneous and absolute. Infinity is a singularity, quite possibly the ultimate paradox. I'm trying to wrap my mind around this thought but it seems to indicate that infinity is actually static. In our binary perception a universal absolute is nothing. So from our perception infinity is nothing and everything, thus in order for our binary conscousness to experience reality we must experience it in a linear and dual fashion rather than in it's true simultaneous fashion. This reminds me of the thoughts outlined in "The Doors Of Perception" on the concept of "Mind At Large" where infinity is happening simultaneously but our minds are hardwired to filter out energy that is uneccesary for survival. Huxley suggests that psychedelics open our minds to be more receptive to the infinite energy that is usually filtered and studies done by MAPS shows that LSD inhibits parts of the brain that may inhibit sensation to protect the brain from sensory overload and through LSD's inhibition of these neurons that inhibit sensation LSD allows us to experience energy that would normally be filtered. LSD allows us to be more receptive and sensitive to the infinite energy surrounding us. Thus some LSD experiences can be overwhelming with sensory overload as the parts of our brain that inhibit sensation are themselves inhibited.

TMP, if we correspond through e-mail I can also give you advice on the 2C's as well. They are all related but they all have many unique aspects that make them all interesting in their own right. Fascinating how the exchange of a simple element can significantly alter the effects and potency of a chemically related direct analog.

I too am looking into writing a book. I have some basic ideas laid out, but have not spent the required time on it as of yet. This thread is derailed so please PM me and we can chat through e-mail.

I feel honoured you have shared your identity with me and it is very reassuring to hear parallels in philosophy from other like-minded individuals. Alex Grey, The Tao Of Physics, The Self-Aware Universe, studies on Taoism and Buddhism and their parallels with quantum physics as well as other bluelighters that have shared their similar thoughts have truly helped validate my philosophies, and psychedelics truly open your mind and allow the mind to be more receptive to the infinite energy we normally filter through the interpretation of our senses.

I think we more experienced users have an obligation to help less experienced users who are havingproblems. And I think that it is something that I certainly do instinctively. Despite my immense experience, I have also gone through trips as bad as they get, have lost my mind (for real) on a number of occasions, and had to work through all kinds of psychological stuff. But I found that I learned so much from these experiences, even the bad ones in the end, that I now feel that I am equipped to survive *anY8 experience that I may encounter. this is not to dsay that I wouldn;t suffer all the bead stuff, but I know enough to know that I will always come down, that I will not be permanently damaged, and even when I have all but lost my sanity, and can barely remember who I am, I have a lifeline permanently attached and I know that all I have to do it hold on. I do;t need to try and make sense out of it in the moment - just get through it.

The flipside of this is that I have learned to be able to 'handle' myself and situations while really high, The has provided the opportunity for me to do LSD in some of the must unique situations - ones that might scare anewbie shitless, and would be risky - very risky - for a novice to try.

Before I get sidetracked, as I almost always do, my point here is simply that I consider myself fairly expert in all things LSD - so I offer the following information.

LSD *is* a psychotherapeutic drug - an extremely powerful one and an extremely effective one. LSD psychotherapy is a reality, although unfortunately it is not practiced nearly enough. There are psychiatrists licensed topractice both LSD and MDMA psychotherapy (I believe Switzerland broke the ice on this front).

Clearly MDMA psychotherapy is a lot easier to work with then LSD, and while I believe that any therapist adminisering psychotropic trugs should absolutely understand the subjective nature of those drugs, MDMA is such a miracle compoundand if pure it works with such a predicatable reliability, that even a psychologist who had nevertaken it would be able totake advantage of its absolute ability to bring the walls of defensiveness crashing down in the subject. The ability to examine emotionally painful events on MDMA without feeling that pain - the ability to forgive,, not just others, but to forgive oneself is incredible. I have experienced and seen people on the verge of divorce sort out *everything* in their marriage in a single MDMA session - and the effects have lasted and let on to the most amzing healing. Any argument, any trauma, guilt, you name it, can almost all be universally resolved using MDMA. Even *without* a councellor, a couple can likely work through their problems. But for ptople who are not looking at marriage communcation problems - an experienced therapist could possible help resolve almost any psychological problems that are not based in damaged brain chemistry (like schizophrenia). It may take a few session - maybe after time still needing a refresher session every 3 months - but we have a viable miracle drug at our disposal, and it is not being used for what it is meant. Someone once said "If LSD had been MDMA - we would by now have world peace". I have to agree. Imagine taking all the world leaders, dosing them up with 200 mg of Clinical MDMA, babysiting then through the initial rush, and then leaving and closing the door on them. I bet that 4 hours later, a new world peace accord would be being drafted. And as silly as it sounds, I am not really joking.

But LSD is s different animal. MDMA while chemically a bit harsher on the body, is an almost guaranteed 'good trip'. LSD not so - and many of us know that while itmay boit damage your body, an LSD trip is *going* to change your life, and a bad LSD trip could cause serious psychelogical problmes. So I do not think that LSD should be taken in a cavalier fashion. And I guess this is actually returning to the intended topic of this thrad as it was spawned by Sam having taken LSD, unprepared, in the wrong situation, without any proper support when the problems started.

LSD is a drug that should be thoroughly researched before being taken. And the potential user wants to know *why* they want to take LSD in the first place. If you're doing it because you want to see pretty colours, then that is 100% the wrong reason - because in truth - the visual effects of LSD - especially the really pretty ones are ultimately only a side effect - and are nt a critical aspect to the LSD experience (although personally they are my favourite aspect - but that's the artist in me I guess). There have been many batches of LSD that I have taken that have had little or no visuals, but which have been soul-moving life-changing experiences. Underneath the colours, and sensory crossover, and just the 'feeling' of LSD, there is a hugely powerful, highly valuable, relatively volatile psychotherapeutic drug. this is a drug that can go much, much deeper than something like MDMA. MDMA is good for communication issues, and dealing with all things emotional. LSD is waymore active at the intellectual level, the subconscious level, the sycho-analytical level and other deep levels.

The LSD can bring to the surface, extremely complex psychological issues in very confused people. LSD psychotherapy should not be handled by soeone who is not educated in psychology - and *defnitely* not by someone who has not done LSD many times, and who truly understands the way that LSD can affect the mind of the user. The LSD psychotherapist needs to be almost telepsthically intuitive, because he/she can use the LSD to acceess very deeply buring personal trauma, to which teh subject can have unexpectedly sudden intense reactions. And practicing LSD therapist (whether by degree or life practice) has to be able to bring the subject out of any negative headspin that could occur.

I could go on and on, but I think the basic point is made. LSD *is* a valuable tool - it *is* being used as one - only way too little. The legal status is mostly to blame - but after that, a lack in educated practitioners is a big issue - and until the legal status changes, we won;t be seeing a lot of improvement here.

But LSD is a serious drug which should always be treated with the greatest respect.

And in the absence of Sanctified LSD psychology, it is up to us, the expereinced users, to help guide those further behind us on the path, and we shold always, each and every one of us, be willing to step in and help a fellow psychonaut who has become lost or afraid.

If this is a Holy War - we are the field medics...

Peace,

tmp

i did have a really good time walking around but as did an uncertain amount in a drip from. whilst already being pretty numb from k and tipsy from drink it just sent my head into a nutty one. i passed out on the floor and was woken up by a security style guy with a flash light in my eyes. after that i was swaying in and out of reality and my trip. then i just tried to sleep but had a seriously crazy trip imagining people where around me talking to me. like u some times get when close to dreaming. i think my eyes were closed at the time but i had like a fish eye image with everyone around me. was fucking intense!

oh and after (still not sure if actually feel asleep) i was walking around back to my camp still tripping but no where near as intense. just watching everything move and change colour. like peoples ears and noes changing making them look like goblins or like mystical people. being at the big chill if anyone has been there is a tryippy place anyways. as it was my birthday and new had a rough night i took quiet a few E that my mate gave me. this combination was so fun anything bright was stretched out and hippy like. felt like i was in the 60's was such a laugh. just that trip in the night freaked me out. like fighting some anxiety problem in my head. just wouldn't let me relax
