I have super searched the posts as I always do, hence the extremely low # of posts. Usually I find what im looking for within the first search. Anyway, I graduated from snorting pills to shooting pills and heroine. Its extremely hard to tell with heroine potency never being the same to judge, so my tolerance is about 60mg of OC injected to "get off". (don't slam me on shooting pills I know its extremely dangerous) I am quitting because OC's in the US are almost gone they are moving to OP's (with gelling agent) and I have to buy at least a gram of H to even get it. I want to be back when a 20mg OC would rock me and am wondering how long will that take if at all possible?

are you asking how long it will take to taper down your usage to where you can get high off of 20 mg's of oxy?

if so...I dont really think its a viable solution to think that youll be able to taper without giving in to temptation. Its just how it is for addicts, we give in to temptation, thats how we end up as addicts....so thats why ive never even heard of someone with a serious opiate addiction being able to taper down to a lower dosage on there own. Meaning....if you have the money to buy more of it, you will....your probably not gonna be able to taper successfully.

My advice is to get on suboxone maintanence. It has worked wonders for me and I have lowered my tolerance SIGNIFICANTLY. I only have to take about 0.5mg's a day and I can take any opiate anytime I want and it doesnt block the effects, but I usually choose to just take the suboxone because it gives me enough euphoria to stay happy but not addicted. I highly reccomend it.

Supposedly they can be IV'ed rather easily with the following method SWIM has already come up with a while back:

1) Remove coating.
2) Crush pill as finely as possible.
3) Place powder in spoon*(1). DO NOT add water.
4) Dry-heat powder with lighter/candle, but not so hot that the powder burns after 1-2 secs (keep flame low, not touching the spoon)
5) if done correctly, the powder should SLOWLY start changing color
6) When a small amount of smoke appears, quickly remove flame and shock the powder with COLD saline solution (salty water may work better)
7) Mix solution. It's normal for it to still have a "syrupy" consistency
8 ) Heat again and boil for a few seconds. Heat + salt water should breakdown the timed-release matrix. With oxycodone generics especially, the wax will start floating to the surface.
9) Drop med-sized cottonball in the solution*(2). It should absorb much of it*(3).
10) This will extract approximately 75-80% of the oxycodone/morphine from experience. Doing a rewash can be performed as there still will be a TINY amount of oxycodone/morphine unextracted from the wax*(4).

*(1) Note #1: the best type spoon to use is one that is thick. This is so that temperature spreads evenly -and still retains heat even after removed from flame. Something like a thin measuring spoon, bottom of a soda can, or tinfoil will NOT work properly.
*(2) Note #2: the cottonball will act as a "magnet" for any remaining wax, so a big-enough one is a MUST to prevent clogging.
*(3) Note #3: if the cottonball just seems to "float" on top of a gooey solution, it's likely that not enough heat was applied.
*(4) Note #4: a taste-test (though not precise) is a good way to tell if there is still some good stuff left behind. The taste should be *bitter* and not really salty (as this can be from the saline/saltwater used).

I dont think the Op was asking how to IV the new pills.

*Also....I thought you couldnt "crush" the new OP's...you could only "shave" off pieces at a time. I have been told by many many people that you cant "crush" it into anything that even resembles a powder.

My question was how long would I have to be clean for my tolerance to be back to 20mg. The problem with the OP's (and OC's) is the $1 per MG in the US. I have tried the swim tech with 50% success with morphine sulfate (dont dig morph high at all). Also I have a leg that was crushed in a car accident if I say anything to a doc about addiction boom any chance of me ever getting pain meds is gone.

Again thanks

Actually no, you CAN go to a seperate doctor about getting on suboxone, which would take care of any withdrawals you will have and ONLY that doctor would know about it. The only way another doctor that you go to would know about it is if you told them, or if you specifically gave the sub doctor permission to release that information. You DEFINITELY dont have to worry about "never getting pain meds again". I think that is a very common misconception.

awesome! but it still does not answer my tolerance question

I told you in my earlier post that on low dose suboxone your tolerance drops dramatically in a verey short time. And you dont have to go through withdrawals to achieve this. In fact, low dose suboxone is very euphoric in my opinion.

and it also doesnt block other opiates in the dose levels I was talking about. so you dont have to worry about that.....problem solved!

i would say about a week on low dose sub would get you close, but after getting high once or twice youll be right back to where you are now. Thats the problem with opiate tolerance, once youve built one up no matter how low you get it it climbs right back to its highest point very quickly if you use on a regular basis.

^agreeed. i used to taper all week w sub and get my tolerance down. in 2 days i was back up to my highest tolerance point. did this for 5 years./.

Spot on. The only alternative I would offer is a week without anything at all, including Suboxone. The week will be hell, but at the end of the week, your tolerance would be a little lower than it would had you used Suboxone the whole time. However, if you make it a week without anything, you might as well just keep going without anything. Very few of us have ever made it through the 7 day gauntlet without any assistance.

get this, theres no easy way to be addicted to pills, ur tolerance will need u to take a long ass break to even get back there, and when it does get back there, u wont be able to use more than once a week...

just using a few times a week can raise ur tolerance...

and ur shooting, so stopping is out of the question

so ur answer is, u cant lower ur tolernace [without stopping for a long time] stopping as in not using anything, not even sub

I haz master solutionz: Buy some marijuana! It makes sub just as good as the real thing!

in my experience/opinion sub's ARE "the real thing" when taken in doses less then 1 mg. i do it every single day and have been for months.

in fact, about 30 seconds before I posted this, I IV'ed .5 mg's of suboxone and I am feeling a nice warm rush wash over my body. And gets better.....the TRUE rush from suboxone doesnt come for about 5 minutes or so....for some reason its delayed with suboxone....anyway, when i get THAT rush, it will be VERY euphoric, and I will not be thinking of doing heroin(which I was addicted to for several years) at all. I also, can stop doing the suboxone for as long as I want with no ill effects. AND....ever since ive been "maintained" on these low level sub doses, my opiate tolerance has dropped almost back to zero. Id say I now have the same tolerance that I did when I was only taking a couple vicodin a few times a week......so pretty much NO tolerance. Its nice, I reccomend it. But the only problem is suboxone is expensive.
