On foot is a good way of coppin in my experience but only for certain kind of people.
If you dont know WTF you doin it might be a bad look.
When you dont know the hood you in cops can tell that whether you in a car or on foot.
I use to live in the city that I copped in. straight up, i was in the hood all the time, my friends was all in the hood, that was my life, I was just another lil hood bitch walkin up the block when I went to cop. I knew where the fuck I was goin, and I didnt give off the vibe of somebody who was coppin. I had paterson regulars drive by me many many times and now that I look back ill put money that the UC tnt narcs also seen me out there a handful of times but nobody never even looked twice at me i had the swag tho u feel me.
One of the highways in the area route 20, was like a kinda borderline around part of the city. it was a highway but not elevated like ur usual route 80, or watever other interstate. It had lil exits where you could get on and off and it would take you right into the regular back streets of the city. so i would just park my car in the parkin lot of one of the biznesses there and my boy worked there so i knew it was cool to leave it there. and then walk up. it was like 8 blocks up and over to this lil bodega that i use to buy my boost minutes at. in paterson they sell 10 dollar boost cards, everywhere else the minimum was 20 dollars. so i would go up there and when i had the extra dough i would put 10 bucks on the reup and my boy would meet me inside the bodega and hand the shit off to me like that int he back of teh store. Grab a C&C , my phone card, stuff the dope in my panties and be out. nobody never once fucked with me all my days of coppin on foot up there.
btw, I know wat u talkin about when u say u may pass for latina. When im in the hood 90% of people I meet always assumes im boricua. even my dealer for the longest time , one day asked me 'u puerto rican right?" so that can work for u.
the one thing u got goin for u is that winter is comin, and coppin on foot in winter is less hot IME. also. My style always been 'hood' as far as dressin, so i didnt stand out like some preppy ass kinda white bitch would. its also better becuz in winter u got a nice heavy coat u can cover up the most of your body with. so in some nikes, some jeans, and the usual northface type puffy jacket with the fur hood pulled up as far over ur face as u can, and walkin slow and smooth with a lil swagga u dont stick out too much. summer more of ur face and body is showin but winter its easier to pass for somebody who just out mindin they bizness.
i would def. recommend at least that much to u, if u gonna try to fuck around on foot.
the thing is tho the important shit is confidence ma. If you aint got that dont bother. Honestly, if you dont even know the basic shit like "will dealers holla at me and try and flag me down or not" I dont think you ready for it and i aint bein mean only bein real. this aint some shit that you can just mess around with. U shouldnt be scared of the dboys just "the boys" aka the police. (I dont know how the slang is out where u at...but here in jerz, if u hear them say "yo, dont come up here right now, the boys is out" that means its hot.
Let me ask you too. Do you got numbers? or did you just used to cop like run up tot he spot and cold cop everytime? I know out there yall go to the tips and just cop from whoever workin and its less of a numbers game than it is out here, we got spots too but most people gets on the bleep and chirp their dealer tell em to meet em becuz its too hot to be fuckin around just cruisin thru the spots without knowin ahead of time if its hot or not.
My suggestions to you is this.
First of all you need to get yo ass a number. who do u usually deal with. get that number from ur connect and tell him that you aint got a whip and you gonna start comin to him by urself, and since u got a long ass train ride to get there, u wanna be able to hit him up before u get there to make sure its all good. u dont wanna take that ride and then get there and he aint around, or its too hot to cop or some shit and then you aint got nowhere to go and gotta hang around bein all sketchy and shit waitin for shit to be good.
once you got a number you can set up some shit and set a place to meet up at and you can walk to there and not have to worry about goin directly to a spot. Maybe he come out a block or 2 down from the spot to be more discreet and u can walk there and it look less sketch than a lil whitegirl walkin right up to the spot u feel me.
Honestly u shouldnt be goin up to no spots at all period, unless its ur first time and u gettin that number. U dont know wat kinda surveillance is goin on and whose eyes are on you. u might think u slick but its never cool to just roll right up like that to the spot even if the coast looks clear they be down there a block or 2 down with binaculars watchin u, u feel me? then they rush in and u never even know where the fuck they came from.
the best thin u can do is get a number from at LEAST one of the dudes you been dealin with, its best to have more the more the better. most of us dope feens at times had at least 10 numbers we could call in the least if one dealer aint work out. u need that option otherwise if u go and ur man aint out u dont wanna be beat and startin from square 1 again.
I understand shit is hard without a car. If i was you , real talk id go there on the train and take a lil walk without no intentions of coppin. Just go and check shit out. get to know the neighborhood and get a feel of the area so you dont get lost or some shit when u need to be quick.
pay attention, observe shit, you should know how to recognize a dealer by now. see where they at, see if they give u the head nod or a lil whistle or "Yeeeeeoooo" and then u know they tryna sell to u. come on this shit should not be new to u, u aint totally new to this right so it aint no different on foot than it was in a car when they flag u down, same shit, u should know how to recognize the signs of who is sellin.
so on this lil , excursion, where you just gettin to know the area and all that , watch all this shit. look for areas where you can have privacy to do a deal at, see if there is a good protected from view spot u can duck into to do a handoff, etc...and once you go by the dealers and get flagged down get some numbers. If after you been payin attention, watchin the area, and it seems all good just buy like one bag or 2 bags, just enough to test shit out and then get the dudes number. that is your real mission with this lil investigation, not to cop but to get to know the spot and to get to know a dealer that you will be able to call beforehand and arrange a meetup with instead of just leavin it to chance.
after that u should have a easier time.
and just remember, when the d boys see u they know wat u want. be straight up. If dudes tryna holla at u like hey ma wats good , this and that, u just tell em yo, i didnt come here for dick i came here for dope so unless you got that, I aint interested.
If you aint sure of yourself and you the type of broad whose used to havin her man cop for her, u got alot to learn and really i cant teacch you that you gonna just have to learn by experience. people is gonna try and take advantage of you and you cant be shy yo u cant be actin like a lil girl. U need to be straight up, strickly bizness, and know wat the fuck u doin so u can get in and out, be slick about it, and get the damn thing done. If u show weakness and play that silly little "im just a girl, dont hurt me, im new to this, my man used to cop for me, can you help me please i dont know wat to do" thats some fresh meat for ppl to chow down on u feel me. Dont front--dont try and be somethin you aint and act all hard and shit if that aint your true nature. But just dont be a little bitch about it. come correct, know your shit, u feel me?
I really only recomment coppin on foot for people who are more veteran coppers. when you dont know wat you doin, its really fucken easy to cop in a car. the risks with the cops are beat, sure, but in a car you at least got some protection and coverage and dont stand out as much. on foot, you really really stand out, so unles you calm, confident and in control you gonna be a magnet for cops and if you aint ready for that , its gonna be a problem. its much better to only cop on foot once you really know your way around the game and you secure in your ability to cop successfully.
I dont wanna make this post last forever so Ima wrap it up but I spent many years coppin , in car and on foot and all type shit, but i know the game in jersey. shit aint the same everywhere u go, but hopefully i helped u a lil bit at least.
