when you detox off opiates do you constantly dream about getting high?

ugh fuckin dope dreams. i had one where i was trying to set up a shot in my room, except there was no gravity. that shit is hard. once i finally got it in the rig, i woke up. terrible.

thats how the always end waking up right before push off .. and even though its a dream you wake up pissed just because you wonder if you would have really felt high in the dream
 
Well, I am fairly new to the world of psychoactive substances, but I have had dreams about using them. Weird thing is a few weeks/months after I dream about trying a certain drug for the first time, I do. I kid you not. One involved finding oxycodone in an old medicine cabinet, I tried it for the first time a few weeks later. I dreamt about trying Fiorinal (butalbital,aspirin,caffeine), a few months later I did for the first time. And several dreams about codeine in cough syrups, which I then was able to try, again for the first time (I have no opiate tolerance). My last dream was about a Dilaudid Ventilator 2 mg per inhalation. Could I be so lucky? Haha. But, honestly this phenomenon is a bit strange. Now the fact that I knew I might be able to try these particular drugs at the time I dreamt those dreams might have had something to do with it, but still... it is odd.
 
I always have dreams that I acquire massive amounts of high quality drugs but I always wake up before I get a chance to use them.
 
I usually have the type of dream where drugs are for sale in the wrong place: Such as Oxy at Wal*mart or Xanax at Target.

They are always insanely inexpensive, too.
 
I really hate this part about detoxing.. When i first detoxed i had dreams that i scored for 2 weeks straight. I used to take my moms pills (she had a script for 80's) and everytime i would find something she would always see me and end up taking the pill from me. It would always happen in that fashion, i would never get the rail the pill it was always taken or lost.

Here recently when ive been taking something my guilty conscious would really come to play in my dreams and my family would basically have an intervention on me and tell me i had to go to rehab etc. These dreams really creep me out because the first time in my life they really seem real.
 
hahaha this shit is hilarious!
there was this dream that i was working in a hotel(i really do work in that same hotel) and all these guests had bottles of benzos and opiates .. i would go into there rooms and take like 10 out of each bottle..it felt like i spent an hour or more doing that and i was trying to be all sneaky and shit and then when it was time to get off of work i realized i didnt have that fist-sized sack of pills anymore. thats when i thought to myself "awww noooo its a fucking dreeeaaammm!" then woke up
 
Not sure if I commented on this thread, but when I run out of tramadol a few days early from refill every month, I dream about getting some every night. When I can actually sleep without 'em, because withdrawal is a bitch.
 
Nope it usually dosn't happen to me. Usually when I'm detoxing I'm already too sedated on a cocktail of hashish, klinopins, xanax along with a bunch of other drugs used to combat opiate withdrawal. Those itself make detox a rather "chill" experience, then I drift off asleep, or that combo usually knocks me out, especially the high doses of xanax.
