when you detox off opiates do you constantly dream about getting high?

every time i detox off opiates all i dream about is getting high ..ill have crazy dreams like robbing parmaceys ,shooting dope while ridding a motorcycle, to much to list all ..just a bunch of shit

do you always dream of getting high in your dreams while detoxing?? and do you sometimes wake up thinking you got high for a min??

if so tell about one of your dreams
 
ya i cant really sleep either seeing that its six in the mornng but im saying the little sleep you do get while detoxing
 
Ever since I started smoking weed as a kid I have had drug dreams. Almost every night. It just comes with the territory if you ask me. The day I quit doing drugs to the point where it is no longer a mental craving is the day I quit dreaming about drugs.

Oh yeah, and in my dreams I am always chasing the dragon which is weird. I never really get a good high in my dreams. I never land a punch or a bullet either.
 
A buddy of mine recently told me that while detoxing he had a dream where he went to a yard sale and there was a table dedicated to opiates. He said he saw a big bottle of OC 80s, put them in his pants and ran back home and then awoke to a horrible reality.

Personally, I dream of fixing up all the time... In my dreams I never push the plunger in though, I always wake up first. ;(

Tell me about it. I either wake up or something goes wrong, like a bag of H getting caught in a gush of wind and flying away or cooking up a hit and then noticing you're using a plastic spoon...
 
Yeah, I agree, they just come with the territory. Not that they don't suck -- nothing worse than dreaming you somehow got a whole bottle of Oxy's only to wake up and realize after looking around for them sleepily, that, well, that shit never fucking happened, haha.
 
Some funny posts. I of course have the same type of dreams, especially since my drug intake has been drastically reduced. And of course, like the rest of you, I am always trying to do the drugs, usually either Coke or H, or OC, but I can never seem to get a line cut out and into my nose. I am always in some strange place that is unsuitable for doing the drugs, and I am aware that if I could just get to a bathroom or home, I would be all set, though I never can manage to do so.

Yeah I have this problem when trying to quit too. About 2 years ago I had gotten off of oxy's and for about 4 months I would have a drug related dream about once a week. My dreams usually seem to consist of finding a whole bottle of oc's or roxies in the weirdest places but I always wake up right as I am about to rail a line or something similar.
 
Funny how we often dream about our DOC while detoxing. I can remember a few times deep in withdrawal from poppy pods I had a dream that I ordered a huge box of poppies and the entire dream I was so excited to brew up a tea and "fix" up.

Then I would wake up underneath the covers drenched in sweat and realize that I was all excited for nothing - it was going to be another terrible day of detox.
 
i once had a dream that i was at my dealer/friends (it's her and her boyfriend) house with my fiance. we were all dressed in like old southern dressy clothes and were in a sitting room that had fancy victorian furniture and beautiful oak tables. on the center table was an even fancier tea set surrounded by tons of crystal dishes filled with different milligram dose pills. some were 30mg blues, others 40mg OC, 20mg OC, 80mg OC, etc etc etc. we were just sitting there drinking tea with our pinkies sticking out having conversations about the weather and the election and yadda yadda, and after each sip of tea we would all 'take a piece of candy.' the candy obviously being the pills. we just kept eating the pills out of the dishes, one after the other, after the other, etc. IT WAS SO WEIRD! i woke up to the sad realization it was all a dream. man, i wish i could have ever seen that many pills in front of me at once in real life! it was wonderfully insane.

Oddly enough I don't recall having any using dreams while detoxing, but almost a year later (being clean from dope the whole time), just lately I've been getting some wicked ones.

In the past, whenever I'd have a using dream it would involve me trying to score and/or scoring and preparing to get high, but never actually pushing off. I'd usually wake up right before that happened.

Lately though, I've had a few using dreams where I've actually shot up and gotten high in my dream, and the feeling of it is so vivid and real that when I wake up I actually feel doped up for a few minutes before I collect myself and realize it was all just a dream.

Then I proceed to crave hardcore :\
 
In my 7-8 years of doing some 40 odd different drugs i have never had a drug dream.
Oh wait thats not true! One time i had a dream i was on acid, like dreams arnt wierd enough.
One other time i smelt coke and did a line and thats it.
 
Hmmm. YES. I always dream about drugs (opiates) when I'm staying off of them. It's horrible (but beautiful...).
 
I usually have 3rd person, depressing, adventure & conflict dreams. My mind in frustration trying to sort itself out in dysphoria in detox

I like to record my dreams often and analyze them as much as I can, I'd be happy to do so others if you wish. though they require alot of extra info that may seem invasive to some. Just because u see a lion doesnt mean ur gonna get ur pubes so to say,..

+1 for whoever said you can't land a punch or shoot a bullet on target... sometimes I can land a punch but it is soft, and I can never get it strong. WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THAT!

Lmao, same here! It's so frustrating when you fight someone in a dream and your punch is going at them at like... 2 miles per hour, lol.

Well, until you realize it was a dream I guess, heh.
