Opioids Injecting cloudy solution

In light of the fact that many people don't do the sort of research I mentioned earlier, I am thinking of creating a thread concerning pill/tablet/capsule formulations, their inactive ingredients, and the statistics on their water solubilities/particle size.

I think that someone else had this idea previously but I am not sure if this was ever undertaken.

Great idea....but will take alot of effort.

I think its worth it.

i don't really have symptoms that I can tell, but i;ve been laid up for a bit after knee surgery. I plan to go throw the american football around in a few days to see if i find myself short of breath. I'm just a layman, but I assume how much shit is in my lungs will probably depends on if the binders can be filtered out by the kidneys. I (foolishly) assumed the powder I was injecting would find its way out of my body through my urine. I do get chest x-rays every 3 months or so because I am chronically ill, and I assume my doctor will tell me if there is a problem on the film. If so, I don't plan to tell him anything frankly. What's done is done, so explaing to him what I have done won't serve much purpose. i live a sedentary life anyway, so I'm hoping any damage I have caused will have a minimal impact on my already low quality of life. When I get my next chest X-ray I will update this thread with the results for informational purposes. Looks like i've made myself into a human guinea pig.

The upside is in light of what you all have said i have stopped injecting and I never will again unless I have a micron filter. My veins were taking it hard anyway, daily 20 gauge needles...

I only wish webpages like this were more abundant and/or well known, as starting this thread 1-2 months ago would have been very beneficial. and yes CH, if you were to make such a list I think it would be very valuable.

i have grown an affinity for needles over time...

but the real reason is when you're injecting so much crap anything smaller than 23 will clog up.

i'll probably use like 27s or something in the future with a micron filter. 31s are like baby needles

Its funny for me to hear you guys talk about different gauged needles..."23, 27, 31, 20...etc"

I have shot up heroin thousands of times and not once did I know what "gauge" my needle was. I never really was aware that the needles you get from stores could vary in gauge size that much. I thought only hospitals had need for many different sized needles. Too me, it was always either a short(small 1/2 inch) "skinny" needle, or the big(1 inch) thicker needle. I never bothered to check the gauge and I was never asked when purchasing the needles what gauge I wanted....nor was I given an option...

Whenever I would ask what different kinds or sizes they had they would just throw 2 different pouches on the counter and I could pick one(1/2" or 1"). Im pretty sure they didnt have different gauge sizes for 1/2 inch or 1 inch needles....meaning...the 1 inch needles were one gauge, and only one gauge...while the 1/2 inch needles were one gauge, and only one gauge.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the state I live in is ignorant when it comes to IV drug abuse and they try to limit a drug users resources any way they can.
For example its illegal for anyone to open a needle exchange program. There have been several arrests of people who have tried to open any kind of program that gives out or exchanges needles.

Sometimes, ignorance isn't bliss.

31G is all that is needed for me to inject, it's a lot easier on your veins to use a smaller gauge.

Many people use 27G, I would suggest using those. If your solution is clogging a 27G needle, I wouldn't inject it.

Where do you find all these different gauged needles???

Is there a needle store I dont know about?

Dont it say what guage your needles are on the package they come in? Mine do... I use 27 guage 1/2 inch 1cc needles cause they're the only ones given out at the needle exchange for free. Guess little veined people are screwed?

We dont have needle exchanges in Texas. I guess its "against Gods will!!!".

I just looked at my 10 pack of needles and saw that they are 30 gauge....is that small, thick, what?...i dont know.

Whatever they are, its pretty much the ONLY size available...they dont sell any other kind anywhere.....there are no other options.....literally.

(Unless you work in a hospital I suspect)

That was just an example about the NE, any place whether a pharmacy or NE the package the needle comes in should say the guage of it and everything else about it. 30 guage is pretty small. 31 guage is the smallest you can get I believe. The smaller the needle the better for your veins. Basically 27g - 31g is what you should be using for IV. Some people need smaller guage because their veins are small, like girls.

Have you tried asking for diffeent gauges? Pharmacys should have a variety of them.

Thats exactly what I posted about earlier....(post $#46)

When I ask the pharmacies they only give me 2 options...1/2" needles or 1" needles. I think they are the same gauge or each there own gauge....but you cant get different gauge sizes for the same length needle. I guarantee you I cant, Ive tried.

james just go to a pharmacsy and ask what they have in stock. that's what i do and it's in NC. 28-31 all pharms have for diabetics i think. at least in NC

30 isn't too bad. It's relatively small.

I have bought 31g insulin needles from a pharmacy in TX before.

If the solution was clogging a 31G fit I wouldn't bang it.

Definitely seconded gibby! Some people have told me that their own blood will clot in anything that was finer than a 29G needle, but yeah, if the solution itself was clogging any gauge needle, I wouldn't use it.

I guess the pharmacies I go to are just undersupplied or something....ive been to H.E.B., Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-Mart.....they all only had the same 2 options....didnt have different gauges to choose from.

No, they just bullshit you around.

The last pharmacy worker I saw lied about having a specific gauge/needle length/volume to someone I know (after handing them a product that was the wrong gauge/brand/needle length) saying "this is all I can give you/this is all we have". A customer vehemently insisted they were wrong. I walked up to the other pharmacy worker, and asked for the exact same product. Within 2 minutes I had the product in my hands. With a little more prying (i.e. saying "can I talk to your manager?", etc.) the first pharmacy worker came back with the product with some bullshit story of "oh I found one last pack in the back!" like it's a fucking miracle.

Some of the people who work at pharmacies are fucked in the heads and they have nothing better to do with their time/energy/life than to waste it by denying people perfectly legal products (OTC medicine, needles, condoms, birth control, etc). That's all.

Okay okay, I'm sorry. I didn't call anyone "crazy". I speak German, and my English isn't perfect. I want to say that "shooting pills without micron-filtering" is crazy, not the person who does it. The person who does that is careless, that's all.

For example:
You have some OC's (the good old ones), and you have syringes. You want to shoot them, but you don't have a micron filter. But you shoot them, because you want that 5sec rush. That is careless in my opinion. You risk your life because of a rush. I'd just eat them then. I've never eaten my prescribed oxycontins, though. I've always shot them. Only snorted them 2 times, because I had no syringes.

Shooting pills without a micron filter is extremely dangerous. When you shoot pills for a decade without a micron filter and don't die or lose a limb, it doesn't mean that you're safe and you don't have done damage to your body that you'll see in 20 years (for example, some inactives stick to your heart valves etc.).

You can die because of one oxy/dilaudid shot that's only cotton-filtered. You can get strokes, infarcts... and simply die from it.

I just want people to think about it, and be a lot more safe with micron filters. It's really worth it.
