Vitamin C Therapy for all Drug Withdrawal

You guys remind me of Gary Busey in Sober House, who claimed not to be an addict but a "participant" :D 8)
Yes, you're right, at my current level of opiate addiction vitamin C will prevent wd's. But so will a monster energy drink, with the added bonus of preventing caffeine withdrawls. Which I will do now.Thank you for making SWIM's drive to the local store more amusing.

BTW, SWIM is using SWIM because SWIM's licence is suspended and SWIM does not want to incriminate SWIM's self.

See, we can all write pointless, retarded shit when we want to.

I guess you had to see the TV episode for it to make sense.

I also assume you guys are just here on this forum to read the articles, you dont actually use drugs yourself right?!
How silly of me to think otherwise, please accept my deepest apologies

Of course I do drugs, I'm baked on jwh-018 right now. That doesn't mean I'm addicted to opiates. Many here are, and if vitamin C helps, great.

Oh shit, SWIM just confessed to driving to the store baked on jwh

And no, I haven't seen that show, though with Gary Bussey I can imagine, LOL.

lol thats totally ridiculous. vitamin c will not stop withdrawal from opiates. if this were possible, trust me, we'd all know about it.

by the way if youre on day 1, you havent even started hurting yet... when im coming off ocs it takes me at least 3 days for the wd to kick in full force. guaranteed you will be feeling shitty by tomorrow night.

Three days? Really? Anyone know how long benzo withdrawals take to start? I'm on day two atm...

Just an update:

Was starting to feel a slight runny nose and aches, doubled my VitC dosage from 1 gram to 1.5 grams every hour and the WD disappeared within the hour
You might want to find the ADD thread and bump it, alot of posters there have a far more detailed knowledge of pharmacology.

Lmao. Bahaha. It's so ridiculous. There's detox's that use 24hr rapid detox that don't make it good or mean that it works. So ever MMT&SMT doctor is wrong n dumb but Mr conspiracy Internet blog Doctor is a vitamin C genius? R you sure you weren't just taking Tylenol n thought they were oxy?

Well....its day 3 now and I feel better than ever. I have quit a bunch of times (and relapsed a bunch of times) and normally I would be in bed now with a box of kleenex next to me feeling like shit.

The VitC increases white blood cells in your body, those WBC's are what causes your body excrete the poison (drugs) from your system.
Its working well, this stuff is a godsend

VITAMIN C HAS BEEN KNOWN TO FIGHT 30 MAJOR DISEASES ... FOR OVER 50 YEARS: http://health.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978245905

If so, why haven't you heard more about it? Why haven't more doctors used vitamin C as medicine?

Progress takes time. Fresh fruit was known to cure scurvy by 1753, yet governments ignored the fact for nearly 100 years. Countless thousands died in the meantime. The 19th century doctor who first advocated washing one's hands between patients died ignored and in disgrace with the medical profession. The toxic metal mercury was used as medicine into the twentieth century.

The first physician to aggressively use vitamin C to cure disease was Frederick R. Klenner, MD, beginning back in the early 1940's. Dr. Klenner successfully treated chicken pox, measles, mumps, tetanus and polio with huge doses of the vitamin.

The following is a complete list of the conditions that Dr. Klenner found that responded to extremely high dose vitamin C therapy:

Pneumonia, Encephalitis, Herpes Zoster (shingles), Herpes Simplex, Mononucleosis, Pancreatitis, Hepatitis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Bladder Infection, Alcoholism, Arthritis, Some Cancers, Leukemia, Atherosclerosis, Ruptured Intervertebral Disc, High Cholesterol, Corneal Ulcer, Diabetes, Glaucoma, Schizophrenia, Burns and secondary infections, Heat Stroke, Radiation Burns, Heavy Metal Poisoning (Mercury, Lead), Venomous Bites, Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Fatigue, Complications of Surgery

This seems like an impossibly long list. At this point, one can either dismiss the subject or investigate further. Dr. Klenner chose to investigate. The result? He used massive doses of vitamin C for over forty years of family practice. He wrote two dozen medical papers on the subject. (1) It is difficult to ignore his success, but it has been done. Dr. Klenner wrote: "Some physicians would stand by and see their patient die rather than use ascorbic acid (vitamin C) because in their finite minds it exists only as a vitamin."

Vitamin C is remarkably safe even in enormously high doses. Compared to commonly used prescription drugs, side effects are virtually nonexistent. It does not cause kidney stones. In fact, vitamin C helps dissolve kidney stones and prevents their formation. William J. McCormick, MD, used vitamin C since the late 1940's to prevent and treat kidney stones. (2) Robert F. Cathcart III, MD, reports that he started using vitamin C in massive doses with patients in 1969. He writes: "I estimate that I have put 25,000 patients on massive doses of vitamin C and none have developed kidney stones." (3) Said Dr. Klenner: "The ascorbic acid/kidney stone story is a myth." Recent scholarship has confirmed this. (4,5)

How much vitamin C is an effective therapeutic dose? Dr. Klenner administered up to an astounding 300,000 milligrams (mg) per day. Generally, he gave 350 to 700 mg per kilogram (2.2 lb) body weight per day. That is a lot of vitamin C.

But then again, look at that list of successes.
Dr. Klenner emphasized that small amounts do not work. He said, "If you want results, use adequate ascorbic acid."
