Hey BL, I was a member here but havent been active for a couple years. SWIM is getting into the dmt alot recently and supplies are running low, so swim is looking to make more.

Does anyone know if hash oil tek will work with MHRB powder?

Basically highly refined butane through a baster filled with tightly packed MHRB powder onto pyrex, then purge tane with double boiler?

If not, what extraction method yields the safest product to smoke? Naptha and heptane dont seem safe to me...

Any info would be greatly appreciated =)

Could some one please provide me with the approximate amount of grams that one cup of finely powdered Mimosa bark equals?
 
In my experience, 100g of finely powdered bark can leave you with 1g of nice white crystals, using Noman's STB TEK.

I'd say there isn't much of a difference in the safety of those and butane. Obviously you don't want to ingest any of them, which you won't if you let everything evaporate properly. However, butane does evaporate much more quickly than naptha or heptane.

Lastly, its probably all a moot point as I seriously doubt using the hash oil tek would yield a useful product. Just go for an STB tek, those are pretty simple, napthas cheap, you just have to be patient and let it evaporate.

Sorry about my poorly worded question: I was wondering (approximately) how many grams are in one cup of powdered Mimosa rootbark. Or, how many cups equates to 100g of rootbark?

ohhhh sweet fucking god, I am freeze precipitating as we speak and my word - I'm so excited I think it's going to be hard to go to sleep!!!

Have got a spoonful of it out after 8 hours but already a ridiculous amount of crystal is floating...and this was from the pull where I didn't follow the instructions very well - by memory from a fleeting glance...

THe second pull I followed the tek (pictures ;) ) to the letter almost, so should yield the spot on 1g per 100g bark used AT least...

I can't wait to smoke this this weekend!!! OMG I'm so excited - fuck SWIM!!
 
One of my previous extractions i got 1.8g from 100g bark. I was very happy, haha

I was using hot water baths and heated solvent, so i think that helped
 
Just an idea:
It would probably be much more effective to put your jar of saturated solvent in a bowl of alcohol/dry ice, rather than a shitty freezer.
This should speed up the process an increase the yield since your solvent will be getting colder
 
Oooh ^ that sounds interesting...

My extractions are getting better - My first pulls where the waxy yellow, but I'm consistently getting more and more snow-like crystals, with jst the slightest hint of tan to them.

I'm still getting some yellow crystals, but when I have freeze precip'd then decanted the solvent carefully - I get the archetypal shard/needle-shaped crystals that look like alien sateillites - beautiful!! Have extracted some of my cleanest DMT yet, still evapping - not even opaque white, just nice clear crystals.

This is fun, I think in a few weeks once I've properly got used to the ins-and-outs of STB, I'm going to go for a Fumarate conversion, so I can have a pharmahuasca experience.

I have heard that using dry ice will actually freeze too quickly, I hear that the naptha will freeze while the DMT is still somewhat of a gooey off white sludge inside of it....

I dont know what the specifics of the account I heard of trying dry ice for FP are so I dont know if its tru, or if they did something wrong, but either way, the more gradual the temp change from warm to frozen = the more lush the crystals form, Thus why lots of teks reccomend slow cooling rather than flash freezing....

a first successful extraction was made yesterday. happy. :)
naphta from the 1st pull was poured back into the mhrb-lye-container.
12 hours later the naphta has taken on a brown/amber tone. no emulsion, no goo but it is really dark and not lightly yellow.
probably someone had similar results before and can give some advice...

Did you heat the mixture or leave it some place warm?
Also I wouldn't leave the naptha in there that long, 20-30 mins is fine, just give it a shake and allow to separate a few times.
 
^ hhmmmm this is where I went wrong a few times...seems to have broken out some more fats or sumat...

warm place = baaaaaad...

Got more SNOWGLOOOOBES <3 - need to make more...about 1g was smoked over the course of the weekend.

update:
75mg of the first pull (yield 860mg; 300g MHRB) have already been smoked. holy shit. 8o :D
the second, discolored pull is drying right now and looks like this:

the poured off naphta looks completely fresh btw. nearly no color. so all the "color" was left in the jar. oily residue was clearly visible and is covering the crystals which themselves are white-yellow.

so: could this residue be toxic or could it even consist of some extra goodies? -> should it be washed or just smoked?

stuff seems dry. yield looks spectacular. :D [.....2,3g of brown spice - or whatever it is.]
I guess this will last the guy who did this for some time...
