Whenever I hear someone say "marijuana" and to a lesser extent "pot" to indicate weed/cannabis/any other term you want to use for bud.

Just something about hearing someone say "marijuana" immediately makes me think narc, cop, uninformed, naive, politician, etc.

To an extent, that annoys me. Like if I hear the "oh man I ate some shrooms and was surrounded by unicorns" one it annoys me. But one can hallucinate, I hear sounds that are definitely not there on any psychedelic.

People saying pot/weed doesn't bother me, marijuana definitely does sound like NARCspeak though.
 
A coworker recently said this to me, he is a drug user.. but only smokes weed.

He was curious about trying LSD, however then referred to it as 'poison soaked paper'. I was in awe not only at his ignorance of the substance itself but also with the fact that despite him claiming it to be poison, he still wanted to try it.

Stupidity at its finest.

That's still not hallucinating...when you trip on shrooms/acid you know everything you see and hear occurs because of the drugs you've taken....when you trip you get visuals..when you hallucinate you cannot distinguish the difference between reality.(datura, Dramamine overload, amphetamine psychosis)

Well one time on acid I did actually have difficulty distinguishing auditory hallucinations, there was a cop on the street below and I thought I heard people talking to him, I had to peek out the window for five minutes before I figured out that he was just there to direct traffic and put up a no parking sign, and the way I figured it out was to look for more shadows, and I saw none. It felt like ESP that I knew he was there, because just a few minutes before I'd smoked a bowl. I simply sensed his presence...it was very strange.
 
my mom with "the first steps admitting" ok so im a heroin addict which i know and all my friends and family basically do to...but she tells me im not admitting it if i dont tell people who dont know....so im supposed to introduce myself to random people as hi, im ____ , the heroin addict ..wanna hire me? wtf

So true. I hear "the first step is admitting you have a problem" nonsense from my parents too. I sure as hell don't deny it to them, but I'm also not about to go screaming it from the rooftops.
 
I've seen this a couple times in here but I'm going to say it again. I have quite a few friends who drink daily, large amounts of alcohol, but think I need some sort of addiction help because I smoke pot. I don't drink anymore other than an occasional beer or glass of wine with food, which is usually my response to these people, and that I chose to use pot the same way that they use alcohol. They still think I'm a druggie, and them drinking every night is perfectly fine. UGH, drives me up the fucking wall.

Oh, and those people who take oxy and other opiates recreationally but almost disowned me for giving heroin a try. A friend actually told me he'd give me all the oxy he could find if I promised to never touch heroin again (I don't use opiates really, very few and far between, just don't care for them much except when in extreme pain). I tried to explain it's the same drug, and whenever this occurs the oxy user just doesn't believe me. I've heard other people make comments on those who take oxy that "well it's fine because it's not heroin." Just UGH at all the misinformation out there.

^ I agree leftwing and enod, I really hate it when I'm exhausted due to being up late doing SCHOOLWORK and in the morning my fellow classmates ask me how hungover I am. Plus, the people who know I smoke think I'm always high...I mean, I usually am, but they really don't need to point it out needlessly, especially in front of those I'd rather not inform about it :/
 
^ya dude. i wear glasses but don't always wear them which strains my eyes if i'm at the computer or reading, making them kinda bloodshot giving me the wrecked look.

if i was wrecked you'd see me with a pipe in my hand a bowl of mull in my lap with the lovely aroma of marijuana
