    Welcome Guest!

Is it just me, or does techno music still suck even when you're rolling?

Does 'techno music' suck

This'll really cheer y'all up. Just found out about the latest 'musical genre' to emanate from the UKs dodgiest clubs - it's alled 'ACID CHAV' - does what it says on the tin, and will be crossing the pond to come to a nightclub near you very soon..ROLFL! (Lady Gaga loves it!)

I've never been to a rave, but i've tried to listen to loud techno music before while rolling. It wasn't as bad as I think it is when I'm sober but it really didnt do anything for me. Something like Beethoven's ninth or some nice zeppelin on the other hand feels like a religious experience when I listen to it rolling. I'm just curious to see if anyone feels the same

THANK YOU! Maybe the ecstasy forum is a bad place to be saying this but, HOUSE, TECHNO, TRANCE, ELECTRONIC MUSIC, BREAKBEAT, Whatever the FUCK you want to call it, IMHO, all sounds the same and is boring and just plain fucking sucks.

"Yo man, wana check out my new beats? I'm becoming a DJ."

"No man, all your songs sound the same, play an instrument you tight pants wearing, eating disorder having, freak rave kid."

thanks you

Not being able to tell the difference between house and breakbeat is like not being able to tell the difference between punk and folk. If it all sounds the same to you, just admit that it's because you're not actually listening.

IMO MDMA just enhances things you like, it doesn't necessarily make you like things you normally wouldn't. I know some people love things like death metal while they're on MDMA. Maybe it's just that the type of people who tend to enjoy MDMA tend to be the same type that enjoy EDM as well.

I disagree, a few times I've rolled I'll put on the randomest, cheesiest song and just fall in love with it. The open-mindedness and clarity E gives to me makes me do this.<3<3<3

jungle techno is the shit you gotta listen to on MDMA :D

I guess im not the only one that gets really annoyed when people call hardstyle, hardcore, gabber, trance, house and anything else techno. They are not techno. Here is some techno:

LOVE IT
=D

more like amp/meth-tard's music

and trance is for people that can't appreciate actual song-writing or musical talent. 8)

Seriously, are people really that daft? If the music wasn't good, then no one would listen to it. If people listen to it, that means certain people enjoy that style. I love happy hardcore =D It's high energy and euphoric -- makes me feel like I'm rolling. I'm sure for a lot of people it's "too fast" or they associate it with a certain type of sub-culture (back in my day, happy hardcore was etard music, now it's electro house or something). The fact of the matter is that some people like some music and others like other types of music. We're all different and have different tastes in everything. It would be bland if we all liked and did the same things. If you think "no, it would fucking rock if everyone were like me", then you should seek help for narcissism :D PLUR!

QFT.

On the subject of music . . .is anyone else surprised that sound bites from this hasn't been used in a song yet?

Yeah whatever. The whole tight pants/hipster rave kids is primarily a US thing. Here in Europe, even commercial events tend have a large variety of people from alco-trash and "Eastern European chavs" to mainstream clubbers and more serious EDM fans.

i like many genres sober or "rolling", apart from gabber or whatever the fuck it is, hardstyle, happy hardcore. i dont like to generalize it as chav music, but tbh it is, and at all the music events with this type of music playing its full of assholes.

my main preference is liquid drum n bass, breakbeat and trance though. sometimes hip hop

Nah its just you. Ill take EDM over other garbage anyday. thing is it guides me better then listening to some ghetto hip hop or lame deathmetal

%)

I've personally helped throw some fucking badass happycore parties. I never let drunk assholes through the door, much less sold alcohol at the venue (except to the DJs and people throwing the party. We were fucking LIT).

You apparently misunderstood my sarcasm. There's all kinds of trance that i luff <3

I just prefer the faster tempo of hardcore =D
