@lowbie: if that's the marquis result of the "crystaline 6-APB", i really doubt it being authentic 6-APB. below is a Marquis/Mecke/Mandelin results from another BLer who supposedly got "real" 6-APB: [here's the original topic]

Yes indeed i highly doubt it as well to be 6-APB :(

If the marquis reaction was anything close to blue etc i would have already tested/consumed the 1g i got by now.

Read somewhere that MBDB has a dark brown result on the marquis and also 2-AI
 
@lowbie: well, just for the sake of knowledge, I just did a Marquis on what is left of my "official, 2nd synth" of 6-APB and the results were [really dark] brown-ish at first glance, after a few minutes warping into a dark grey-dark purple-black nuance.

i fully support the above image's color tone when it comes to 6-APB's reaction with Marquis.

will take a photo once the ms. arrives home with the cam.
 
I'm getting so fed up with all this speculation. It wouldn't surprise me either way, whether this is a new compound (albeit with potentially harmful impurities), or even a combination of other RCs such as MDAI, MDPV and mephedrone. Perhaps it's just as well that I leave it all well alone, though will admittedly see what happens over the next few weeks, naturally.
 
Not sure if this has been asked, but does anyone know if the first pellets to become available will be from the first or second synth?

Farbeit from me to come to the defense of any vendor but I doubt from the original reports combined with the marquis results that the original samples were a combination of different available research compounds. Combinations would be extremely variable in their effects from one person to the next because of varying tolerances to the different compounds used and probably wouldn't produce a marquis result so similar to MDA. It may have been that they sent out pure MDA as samples to increase demand for the compound since relatively few people are familiar with pure MDA, but it's probably just 6-apb or 6-apdb and whatever synth byproducts. It is a funny idea though, and would probably be very effective technique to increase demand for whatever you're peddling.

I am interested in knowing this too, Shambles reckoned possibly the 1st synth would be in the initial pellets.
 
what I've heard from one of the "big 5" was that they will be out of the 2nd synth. I'm off, cheers!
 
I'm surprised no one has bothered to take anything like a melting point or run a TLC yet on the original product and the newer stuff and known products. Surely someone out there must be somewhat of a chemist and can run these tests (or maybe, everyone just ate their original batch).

For the TLC I'd run 3:1 hexane to EtOAc on silica plates I guess, moving it closer to 1:1 if it doesn't run far enough. You can wash with Marquis reagent if you have it to visualize the spots as per this paper: http://acta.chem-soc.si/54/54-1-106.pdf. UV around 250 254nm works great too.

This isn't really a hard synthesis anyway, so I'm betting what's going on is whoever is trying to make this stuff doesn't have enough money to send to the Chinese folks to begin mass production and this is why it's being stalled so much.

I had a small dab of both and they both taste similar with the '6-apb' tasting maybe stronger. The taste is familiar to me but I can't place it. It's a chemical taste with a slight sweetness (not as sweet as some have described I would say)... Anyway here's some pics

Don't know if it means anything but as they are both from the same vendor it could be the last acts of a desperate vendor trying to offload whatever they can in one powder labeled as things that will sell. I don't think I would touch it but some mates might want to so I will report if they do risk it and if they have any effects or god forbid ill effects...

Also I got slight palpitations after the 'mdai' dab which could be nerves or the first '6-apb' dab or even both...

Perhaps because they're far too concerned with nmr spectra totally irrelevant to their sample..... The neglect of straightforward stuff like this amazes me given the current situation, and basic characterisation like that would make discussions about "whats this random white powder advertised as <n>?" actually useful.

Well that's strange as the reply i received said that all stocks of the initial synth would be sold before they begin to offer the new synth for sale

but like shambles said earlier, both synths are purer than gods jism compared to rc's like meph.
