Anyway, here is my baby boy, also a Jack Russell X (but crossed with Staffy) <3

He looks more like a Staffy here:

He caught a rabbit on my parents farm. I couldn't be mad at him because that's what he's built to do for goodness sake! I was still sad though. Although I've seen him kill snakes before and let me tell you, this bunny would not have known a damn thing about it. He makes a really quick kill.

I love Jacks! Neighbors have one that jumps about 5 foot in the air if you snap your fingers. He just loves attention and anything that stimulates him. Tiny little thing but he doesn't know it! Sometimes I am amazed at how different breeds manage to to the deed to reproduce.

Basset Jack mix seems like a good way to go. A staffy is a pit bull, no?

I've loved JRT's ever since my Dad got one years ago.... kid-brother named him Buzz-Saw. xD
He's a shorthair black & white.... and it's funny cause right on the middle of his back, the white spot makes a perfect direction-arrow pointing forward. But the best part is those dogs are *smart*.

Yeah, Sophie's kinda easy-going and quiet and loves attention, but when she get's going, the JRT comes out in force. :D

um.... Pitbull = American Bulldog IIRC

Wiki says (and yes, I know anyone can edit and screw up a wiki) but, it says:

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier (informally: Staffie, Stafford, Staffross, Staffy or Staff) is a medium-sized, short-coated, old-time breed of dog, originally bred for bull baiting[1]. In the early part of the twentieth century, the breed gained respectability, and it was accepted by the The Kennel Club of the United Kingdom as the Staffordshire bull terrier. It is an English breed of dog related to the bull terrier and similar in appearance to the much larger American Staffordshire terrier and American pit bull terrier.

The American Bulldog is a different dog isn't it?

So it's the English cousin to a pitt then. The body style on the mix looked like a pitt to me. Very muscular. Beautiful dogs.

Yep, different breed. But they're prolly interrelated somehow. I'm not a really huge dog person......

This is my old cat, Sid (actually Stinky Sidney), playing tub-monster. He's a Siamese my ex-wife bought as a tiny kitten off an old lady selling kittens in Rome. He went back with us to Germany and back to Colorado, but my exwife took him with her.

And this is a pic of the vista up at the Rampart Range shooting range. In the distance is Pikes Peak

And these are the last two in a series of three; he's trials rider Jeff Lenosky, which I took at the 2009 Fruita Fat Tire Festival, Colorado. The first photo is posted on pg. 26 IIRC.

australian shepherds are one of my favorites, they are individually great family dogs, very smart, but not pranksters. they accept the alpha, and will remain attentive and caring to the rest of the, herd.

my experience with blue healers is that they are scary smart, amazing animals.

an interesting cross, is chow and lab, or golden retriever; they are totally loyal and sweet to their family, but if a stranger comes around the chow comes out.

my mom got what i believe is a jrt x pomeranian, obnoxiously cute, and a real little ball of zooming light hehe, very intelligent and curious, yippee, but obedient...

i dont think a pit is referred to as an american bulldog.
i like how the cops here have started using them, this news came out after colorado made them "illegal", like a sort of statement... they are great breed with a lab too.

i have seen one put bull that was a specific breed, but very sweet demeanor, a blue sheen, and short stocky legs.

Yeah, pits are good dogs when treated right. I've always been partial to the brindle-colored ones. Especially on boxers. My family has owned a lot of boxers, they're good farm-dogs.
Come to think of it..... one of my favorite dogs is the bull mastiff. They're..... intimidating. definitely, when one puts it's paws on my shoulders and looks me dead in the eyes. xD

Okay... though it pains me badly to look, here is a picture of my stolen dream-bike. Pikes Peak is in the background.

And here's another tear-squirter for meh.
SPC Wilder, RIP, March '05
We had just gotten back from our deployment to Iraq for 15 months, and alcohol got him when bullets and bombs couldn't.

For a time I had a '55 Buick Special that was fuckin' cherry, but my ex sold it during my last deployment. I have pictures of it, but most of the good ones have my ex in it, and I really don't want to see her.

Look at the puppy and how happy he is!!!!! That tail looks like it is flicking back and forth in a ferociously happy manner!

Its so gratifying watching a dog get lost in his/her toys. The simple pleasures that us humans never seem to enjoy

He certainly seems proud of his kill as well.

You must be a proud mommy

Thanks for the lovely comments OD :)
I am a very proud mum!! He is handsome and adorable and very loyal, such a mama's boy haha <3

What you don't see.... is the hellacious belly flop after the first pic was taken
And in the second, you don't see the friends on top of the dock that pushed him off.

xD

@ OD: Some people think so but no I'm just a human, some amazing things do tend to happen from time to time.

And yea your right about those people throwing me off. Those bastards!

Ixchellian;
fuck alcohol, this is a testimonial to how the most strong and brave can give it all away, to this celebrated soul sucking substance.
it sends my mind flying and a fiery tear with it...

every time i have heard of or seen one of our nations finest lose their shit...
alcohol is involved, usualy the first night of trying to let go, and just be home again.

it has a unique ability to awaken, and pour out the worst of ones subconscious.

if i drank, and was tonight, i think id pour mine out, and think, not wash myself away for a drink.
i, this stuff gets me going, that picture (or a similar one perhaps) should be in the front of alcohol thread.

i went to a victim impact panel the other night, very powerful, very interesting. they were asking if any of us had a story they would like to share, heh, i was gripping the arms of my chair, to jump and say i did, i love a crowd heheh. they didn't though...

a picture, and far to much far to common of a story would smack the piss out of those idiot guys there, bored, wanting to sneak out...

okay, *exhales. man i could keep going, but im on my phone, and haven't seen how much ive written...
