okay, since we're on cats.....
I rescued this abandoned kitteh from the shed which also happens to have rats in it bigger than it. I put her at maybe 3-4wks old. she was almost emaciated and totally feral. it took me about 45min to habituate her to me and other people.
her names Brynhildr, but she answers to Bryn, or just kitteh.
she's prospering now; playing hard, growing fast, and housetrained.
I dunno what it is.... I've been able to make friends with feral barn-cats when nobody else could get within 20ft of them. And I dunno how many stray cats or abandoned kittens have somehow ended up at my door. Usually I get em housetrained, a vet checkup and treatment, and then find a new family for them.
but this year I've only found two; Bryn and Crowley. Crowley was an older tabby who just kinda showed up. He was a really nice cat, but in the house sometimes he'd just disappear. I'd look for him forever in all the rooms, and then when I'd go back to the room i started it, he'd be there like "wut? Ise not go nowear."
I gave him to the family of a wounded veteran with severe TBI.
