Smoking cannabis in the US

There is no imperical scientific eveidence linking MJ to any form of cancer. soo, not a carcinogin.

Unless I am wrong, then please inform me :)

But yea, very rarely do we mix it here.. As far as burning better or more evenly I find that just breaking it up finely or using a grinder is more than sufficient.

Every now and then I'll roll a spliff, mostly when I am almost out of either cigs or weed.. Helps it last a bit longer. I do smoke incredible amounts of cigs so for me its not all that bad, but my friends who dont smoke baccy cringe at the thought. Oh yea, only with mids, never with cronic.

I have no doubt eaten or vaped weed is fine.

However, smoking weed unleashes carcinogenic hydrocarbons into your lungs; Benzyprene (the tar found both tobacco and weed) & carbon monoxide for starters.

Harm does not necessarily equal cancer. There is still some nasty stuff in cannabis smoke. http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabis/cannabis_info3.shtml

If you want to dome a blunt at any kind of social situation in the US, spin that shit with tobacco and let them see you do it.

No one will DARE to smoke that shit.

Ironically, mix in a bit of tobacco with a blunt without anybody seeing and they'll hit it without noticing any difference in the taste whatsoever. It's kind of funny.

The CDC links smokeing tabaco to 435,000 death yearly in the US alone , and 0 death to marijana.

it is an occasional indulgence for me, but i used to smoke cigs. a buddy of mine enjoys doing it quite frequently so that is my few occasion. for me to do it i have to be low on weed, to make it go farther. i try to mix it up when i smoke weed, goes: pipe, blunt, joint, vaporizer, bong/spliff/the latter.

also i recently ran into a guy at a festival and he offered two buddies n i to smoke a spliff with him. he lights it up, puffs n passes to my first friend who takes his puffs and says "damn thats a good spliff" as he passes to me. i hit it and say "this is fuckin smooth, wat kinda tobacco you use?" the guy answers "its a spliff man." i say "ya i know. wat kind of tobacco did u roll up in it?" hes like "what do you mean? its a spliff. no tobacco". so of course we delve into conversation turns out he calls a spliff a joint with a crutch in it. leave it to californians to mix it all up haha

I dont, nor have I ever met anyone who mixes their weed with tobacco. I dont see how it would be more pleasant than straight weed or how it could go farther. I smoke my bud in a pipe or a bong anyway so Im not really wasting anything like the blunt smokers do. I'm even a cigarette smoker and I cringe at the thought of adding tobacco.

Do the Brits/Aussies mix in tobacco in a pipe too?

I'm pretty sure smoke of any kind carries atleast some carcinogens. AFAIK the cannabinoids found in mj are harmless, even beneficial but burning the plant matter and inhaling the smoke has to do some damage.

what struck me as weird , when i was in holland none of my dutch friends would smoke a blunt or joint of just weed, they was like its too heavy, we like getting just a little high, we think you may have a drug problem, im like im in holland for christs sake of coarse im gunna smoke and drink and do everything i can get my hands on

This thread has degenerated into a circular argument, weed is carcinogenic vs. it's not, with both sides failing to convince anyone of anything. No one has shown an ounce of substantiating evidence, either way... what's the point? It's the worst of the stereotypical stoner dialogs...

The evidence I've seen (magazine articles and websites, I'm not kidding anyone that I read scientific journals about marijuana's toxicity and carcinogenic properties) points to a mixed bag. Some cannabinoids, in petri dishes and mice, have been shown to slow and occasionally inhibit the growth of some types of tumors. OTOH, many of the combustible materials in tobacco are in marijuana, and many other plants for that matter. Some of those organic compounds have been shown to be unhealthy, and anecdotally, I think smoking marijuana is stressful on my lungs.

If you're out there asking someone to provide you with evidence that you are wrong, it's helpful to come to the table with something to show yourself. Otherwise, it becomes a shouting match where the winner is the loudest, or in this case, most clever.

Tobacco means i can roll a bigger doobie, even if it's with the same amount of cannibas I just enjoy smoking for longer

really, i'm asking for a study either way. as i said, i'm on a phone, and most pages won't/don't liad properly, so it's hard to look things up. i was going on a purely anecdotal account, didn't mean
