2C-I transferring to kittens via sweat

They're definitely real. I'm just curious as to the mechanism of action for these sorts of things. And they seem to be more specific to things like cannabis & psychedelics as opposed to booze & speed. It may have something to do with the power of suggestion, or the fact that most behavior is highly situational. Plus, spoken language is extremely new in the history of living organisms, so I'd imagine body language etc, having been the predominant form of communication for millenia, is still quite an effective & powerful mode of communication

Spot on. It's a subconscious psychological phenomenon. In any situation it is human nature to match those around you - the way they act and speak. People are susceptible to this in varying degrees and I don't think it generally applies any more or less when others are under the influence or sober. I've noticed it a lot with both weed and alcohol. It can be very entertaining ;)

In regards to pets picking up on their owners (I use the term loosely, as I don't think you can ever really OWN an animal), I have definitely experienced this phenomenon.

My dog used to be really suspicious of me whilst vaping/smoking cannabis, but now that he's gotten used to it, he's really lovey with me when I'm high.

Same goes for the first time he saw me on mushrooms, though I was in a slightly apprehensive mood when he first saw me tripping. Again, now that he's used to it, as long as I'm in a good place with my trip (be it with the aid of LSD, 4-ACO/psilocin, a 2C, etc.) he's very happy to visit with me and groove on my good vibes! =D

Same goes for my cat (he lives with my friend currently, so I haven't seen him in quite some time :(). But when I first found him (I found him as a kitten in a window-well at my last college), not long after he had become comfortable with me (and had accepted me as his daddy), I tripped and he was very apprehensive about my behavior, but after he picked up on my good vibes and enjoyed lots of petting and cuddling from me, he determined that psychedelics were a good thing for me. Then, after I had had to move and left him with my friend (as I couldn't keep him at my new place of residence), when I returned to visit, some months later, he was lovey with me, but apprehensive (probably as he felt I'd abandoned him), until I ate some mushrooms, at which point he became super lovey with me again. =D

So, to conclude, animals can totally pick up on those good vibes and LOVE to groove on them! =D

Also, no, cuddling with or petting your pets whilst tripping will not actually transfer any of the chemical to them (though it may give them a contact high, as Xork already mentioned).

I don't think you or your kittens can get high from drug metabolites that you excrete, be it through sweat, urine or feces.

Actually it could be possible if 2c-i is left unchanged when its excreted in urine(still not sure whether it is). Look at MDMA its excreted through urine with something like 80ish% unchanged. Although I don't know why you would have urine sitting around period let alone somewhere an animal could drink it.

Wait... are you saying when I roll, I can drink my pee and get high again off the 80% unchanged MDMA that's in there? 8o

Scandinavians used to do this with Amanitas, (poor people drinking the rich druggie's urine) so in theory, if that much is excreted without being metabolized it's possible. Kind of weird and desperate though...

I dunno, but my friend's cat started licking some 2C-I solution we were making. It only got a few tonguefuls, and we soon consumed the substance ourselves, but I dunno - it mighta been tripping just a little bit! Real unresponsible, though, letting the cat get to the drugs like that.

I also know that this doesn't happen with amphetamines or opiates, I've petted kittens while on opiates and amphetamines many times. I've also petted kittens while on DOM and LSD and it didn't get them high. I love playing with kittens while tripping.
