FIFA World Cup 2010

Poor lost 15quid as it stands on this jap v cameroon match. Trying to nutrilise that loss now.

2-0 holland v denmark match was alright, only saw the 2nd half and missed the own goal though.

I've got hundreds bet on tonights Italy match (matched bets at least) so can't lose money but have a desired outcome for sure. Will be watching intently!
 
Managed to win 10quid on the earlier match. This match tonight is integral. If its not a draw I will be so fucking pleased. If The italy game is a draw, I'll have to carry on with free bonus wager requirements :/ which will reduce my profit. So roll on the draw tonight :D PLEASE! heh... that'd free up hundreds. I am unfortunately anticipating a draw however :(
 
lets hope things start to pick up a bit once teams get into their second game of first round, quality of footballs been pretty poor so far

another anti climax game from portugal and i.c today (didnt see it yet as i was in work but followed text commentary online)
 
New Zealand defender Winston Reid heads an equaliser in the 93rd minute to give the Kiwis our first ever point at a World Cup. Slovakia are, basically, broken :D

Watched the match in a basement pub full of screaming Kiwis, quality.

(RA: IC v Portugal was dire. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if NZ had more shots on goal than either IC or Portugal). NZ v Slovakia was also dire, but when it's your own team holding on for a valiant draw, the quality of the game is less important :D
 
Is there hope of a decent match? Ffs even the Brazil - North Korea match is boring us to death...
 
North Korea have played really well, but it was obvious, Dear Leader inspired them with his infinite wisdom, to outclass the decadent imperialists of Brazil.
 
Massive respect to New Zealand and North Korea, but I have to agree that the standard of football at this World Cup has been, on the whole, fucking terrible so far with the possible exception of Germany.
 
let's hope england top their group, otherwise they will face germany in the second round (presuming they top their group which they 99% will)

as many goals as possible is vital in both remaining games to ensure USA finish second
 
What a fucking goal by North Korea, hail to the dear leader!

Pretty valiant performance by NK, although I'm sure Brazil will up their game once the real opposition comes along.

I really hope we don't have to play Germany in the round of 16, going on what we've seen so far, they will be running rings around us. When I was watching them the other night I couldn't help thinking "why can't england play like this?". They did what a quality side should do when faced with inferior opposition, absolutely hammered them and made it look easy.
 
Fucking hell, those horns are annoying as fuck.

There's absolutely no atmosphere - no rise and fall of the crowd, no change of pace in the support... just a monotonous droning sound.

And Sepp Blatter - what a dunce. Calling them a unique part of "the sound of Africa". :D

How is a cheap plastic horn made in China part of African culture??? PC bollocks. They should be banned and the Police should be under orders to shoot any child who holds one.
 
I've managed to tune out the constant buzzing while watching the games now, but can't believe they haven't banned them yet since a lot of the players are saying its making things difficult.

Hope the general standard of football improves soon too, mostly dire matches so far tbh :\

I guess a lot of teams play too cautiously in the first group game feeling that a draw is sufficient while a loss would be horrid.
