What is the best way to evaporate isopropyl alcohol? I may have mescaline dissolved in a gallon of isopropyl, and need some tips on how to evaporate the alcohol. Specifically, I need to evaporate ~450ml of it--a tenth of a gallon--preferably quickly, safely, and without making too much of a mess or smell. I was considering either double boiling it or putting it into a shallow pan and leaving it outside in the summer heat. It would really be great if someone could provide me with a specific estimate of the time needed for both those methods, as well as a detailed process for double boiling; I'd like to make sure I know exactly what I'm doing with that one before I go playing with fire and flammable substances.
Any advice on how to prepare the tar afterwards would be neat, too; my friend recommended mixing in calcium carbonate and rolling the tar in sugar to help get it down..?
Thanks a lot.
