what are most Aussies prescribed for severe pain?

^agreed that buprenorphine is the best painkiller i've been on (was on norspan like yourself) and will be back on either subutex or suboxone again soon; not sure which one the clinic i'll be attending uses, likely suboxone)

I wonder how long it will take the medical world to bring burprenorphine back into general medicine? Maybe they are saving it like a silver bullet or something?

i fully rooted my knee few weeks bak, cld need reco or surgery , and all they gave me was 30mg codeine , n told me to take ibuprofen, n that didnt do shit so i had to go buy a handful endones at sum stupid price

Does anyone know if all doctors, without any specific extra pain medication license can prescribe tramadol or endone.

Like what is the cut off point for your average gp, i was thinking maybe endone is likely the strongest they can script you, and anything that requires stronger pain releif than that would see you being refered to a specilist

Your spot on with that. Altho the most they would prescribe u would be 5mg endones and thats if u break ur arm n leg LOL I doubt they would prescribe u that unless its really is severe.

How bad is the pain? Not dick sizing or anything but if i ever had any severe pains id def use a very strong CWE or if thats not adequate because of ur tolerance (ps: i know u have high tolerance) LOL then i def would start considering strong oxys without prescriptions. Pain is one of the worst things and no one should ever have to put up with it.

tramadol no i dont think so , but oxy the need to get authorization

i learnt that the hard way tryin to fill fake blank scripts a cpl months back

i'm getting my junista tomorrow, starting with the 8mg strength to work up from there, using oxy for breakthrough:)

will update how effective it is once i'm stabilised on it,

Gees mate, I hope it works out for you.

All I can say is that if you are persistent enough in Australia, you can get the support you desire. Good stuff.

What ever happened to getting on bup? Did that fall through?

still trying, man. i've talked to a pharamacist in town who said he'd most likely willing to dispense it to me if i can find a clinic or prescribing doctor who's willing to liase with him. i've got an assessment and appt at ATODS in town tomorrow and they're trying to help sort something of the like out as well

^you would think, but these are 99% abuse proof. to have a closer look i cleaned the outer coating off and took extra pictures of what it looks like that i'll post later.

it's the dilauded you'd be noming over.

eh, i mixed up the systems again, it's not the OROS push pull, its the L-OROS

L– OROS technology 9

To over come the drug solubility issue, Alza developed the L – OROS system where a lipid soft gel product containing drug in a dissolved state is initially manufactured and than coated with a barrier membrane, than osmotic push layer and than a semi preamble membrane, drilled with an exit orifice.

which is from here http://www.pharmainfo.net/reviews/review-latest-advancement-patented-controlled-sustained-release-drug-delivery-system

sorry for the german. but this gives a better look of the technology

So a similar mechanism to concerta?

I was talking to a mate the other day who said even those could be broken with a little effort. Still not snort/shootable, but you can definately get an IR going with a little effort.

Or just take a higher dose and be high all day long.

You're right though, I hear amazing things about dilaudid when IV'd.

oh shi-, i didn't want to disclose that just yet:p

yes you can use the concerta extraction method for and IR oral or plugging solution, but never shoot the solution whatever you do
