How smoking affects study

i find if it hard to study when im really high, no desire and lack of concentration. however with a nice buzz i find its fine. i remember everything really well just as if sober. my writing is definetly improved, concepts and ideas come easier. however i find my punctuation suffers, so i always go over it sober. when ismoked everyday i kept a 4.0 in hs, now i got a 3.7 soidk what to tell you lol. i find if you're already a bad student weed will fuck you over, but if you know how to study it wont really affect you

I findthat certain subjects suck ballzwhen high .

Anything to do with math sucks !

When I blazebefore English class i'm the best .

Some of my friends took art an when they blaze before that they say they come up with some pretty crazy drawings lol

I'm doing EE too, and I smoke every night. I can do most, if not all, of my homework/studying high, although sometimes I choose not to. It's all about whether you really wanna commit to doing schoolwork when you're stoned.

I think of it this way: I can be productive AND be high at the same time. Win? I think so.

I feel all of you. I'm on my last 2 terms until my graduation with a double major and I am so stuck doing nothing. I've been here 4 years and I don't want to do it anyway. Its like weed anywhere in my day destroys any motivation I had. But it helps the stress.
How the hell can you blend school and marijuana use and not fuck yourself over?

True recall is state dependent but right now I'm taking writing classes. There are no exams. Just papers and that is the worst assignment to give someone who is already unmotivated.

Straight A's. =D

I'm actually majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry... so I do a little bit of everything as far as the math and sciences go. For me, it's really just about prioritizing tasks and keeping myself motivated. I always make smoking my lowest priority when schools in.. but I always make the time to smoke when I get home from classes. I generally don't like working on shit right after I just got done blazing, so I always take small hour intermissions during periods of long study. Everyone's different though, just gotta find what works for you.

I also wrote tons of papers while attending a university so aside from a few times writing after smoking or drinking some beers was something I never did.

As far as proofreading and editing someone else's paper while high or drunk yeah I did that a lot. :)

I smoke daily (for years) and it definitely fucks up my short term memory. I find myself having words stuck on the tip of my tongue for a few seconds before I can think of them. So I would say weed probably doesn't help in studying. Don't see myself quitting any time soon though.

Oh yeah i don't think it helps necessarily ^^ but it doesn't really affect it long term .
If your high and studying it's hard.
But like I've smoked for 2 years . And if I just don't smoke on the day I wanna study then I'm good :-)

it depends...

if one is to study something creative like art and writing english essays where imagionation is needed, then it would be of a great help

but if one is needed to learn and memorize words needed before a test, then bud isnt the way to go..

after the damn test, then its a good time to light one up %)

smoking is terrible for study.
i consider marijuana a psychedelic and any psychedelic isn't good for studying, same with gaba drugs.
i find kratom to be ideal for studying, good focus from it without shitty stim sides.

^ you shouldn't really need/should be high for studying .

What kinda people are you that you hve to be high to study ...

.... But ya the only good/useful drugs for studying are stims

It doesn't help much or hurt it, I did take my accounting exam baked last week without studying for it and got a 70% but that's cuz I didn't study

Eyy man ^^ uni accounting or highschool accounting ?

I'm actually serious . Just wondering

Oddly, being high seems to slightly improve my concentration when doing schoolwork. I have no problem doing it sober, but when I'm baked, it's like it's somehow more enjoyable to do schoolwork. I also get it done faster, but still get A's.

^ well you are in the USA which I heard has a terrible education system haha .

And nice to accounting guy . Im considering taking accounting in uni. Would you reccomend it ?
