"Due to circumstances out of our control omega3 productions has moved the venue and style of event PROGRESSIONS OF FREEDOM 2010.
The new venue is The Step Inn, Corner of Brunswick Street & St. Pauls Terrace. More details will be added very soon.
No one is more disappoint than we are and we apologise to everyone that was looking forward to a weekend away
Anyone who has purchased a ticket to the previous event a refund of the face value of the ticket is available from point of sale or from http://www.oztix.com if you purchased them on-line. Booking fees will not be refunded from point of sale however jade is happy to refund the fee personally. Please email [email protected] with the ticket number(s) and your Name, BSB and Account number and he will refund the booking fee by the end of the month.
The new cost is $20 / head on the door. Full details will be released soon.
Please pass this message on to everyone you know who would like this information.
Another message will come out with the line up which features some of the artists that were on the original bill."

^ Yeh I saw that on the other site too astrosmurf but thanks for posting it here too. Not sure if I'll make it to the step inn though as I'm seeing Jeff Martin (from the tea party) over in west end that night. That said omega3 have still arranged a good 12 hours of music so I may be tempted

Any other events coming up in the near future? My and my girl are keen to go jivin'.. ooo yeah.
I just love that it's not me starting doof threads now. When i first started posting here in 02 or 03 hardly anyone knew what a doof was. The love had been spread. It's awesome. It's so cool seeing so many hearts and souls open to it now. It makes my heart sing
LOL. I guess it's relative but I think the ~50 people going to doofs from bluelight (and posting) since 2000-2001 that I met when I moved to Melb in 2001 to me is more than 'hardly anyone'. From memory, at least 5 were doofers for almost a decade that I remember talking to. This is just from the Melbourne people posting + speaking to in person at doofs + various music events. Some even were playing at these doofs. 02 or 03 might have had a few people jaded by then and not posting on here possibly. Or some are just looking at rose coloured glasses (in relation to themselves
