K now the "pirate" one today was not all that funny.

I got alot of it, but just wasnt well put together and that one was more like Cartman being out of character.

*Mods can u rename to South Park Season discussion PEAS!!

Wow... I didn't think there'd be so many negative responses to this. I love it, and I appreciate everything they do. I personally find it hilarious. They used to all be dick and fart jokes in the beginning, which was funny, but it had no substance. But still, I watched. Then, around season sever and eight, they started basing their shows around current events and satirizing (<-sp?) popular culture. I think they get better and better as they go. But I guess you do have to be familiar with current events and people. I mean, the day after the Kanye West episode, Kanye actually made a press release saying it changed his life and his view about himself. Before the episode, he had been reported saying "My only regret in life is that I haven't been able to see myself live" and "I am THE voice of the generation." Pretty stuck up if you ask me. So when they started making fun of him, saying "What do I and a gay fish have in common? There's me, so that means genious...." etc. He sad the episode hurt his feelings, but really opened his eyes about how he thinks and talks about himself. Enough to the point of making a fucking press release. And the Britney Spears episode was classic. I mean, how perfectly did that depict the press and tabloid's focus and berrating of famous people. They're driving these people fucking CRAZY, and all they can focus on is her weight and her camel toe??? It's ridiculous. I give mad props to Trey and Matt for actually having pitty for her. It's really sad. Any way. I appreciate what they do.

I've found it pretty funny so far from the ones I watched. About PAR...At least not killing Kenny all the time. That joke got old, now when they do it might be a lil funny again.

I like this. It's not a million miles from my own thoughts on SP.

I would not be a rabid fan. I guess I have seen 40/50% of the shows ever but it still does it for me.

But I do remember when EVERY episode in a season was side spliting. The last 2 seasons have great or miss episodes. I dont mind the pop culture thing like everyone else has had problems with when they make it work. Like I posted earlier, the pirate one had alot more potential than they used.

And the "WoW" episode....BEST EVER!!

The whole Tron thing was amazing.

I've been enjoying the current season so far. :D

I've been unimpressed by this season so far. I liked it better when the show wasn't completely topical and was just funny.

^^ Really?

This has been a great Season so far 3 outta 4 were fuckin win (Tigerwoods/sex addicts, MMJ?KFC, FB)

scrotty Mcbugerballs was lame but i thought the other 3 were quite good n much better then the downward slope i felt like SP had been goin in the last season or 2

The reason the show has lasted so long is because of the use of more topical commentary. When you don't stay current and utilize the same plot devices over and over you just end up with season 12 - 20 of the Simpsons. :\

southpark is amazing.
i constantly find myself saying out loud "did they really just say/do that?!?"

and some of it is so ridiculous that you just have to laugh.

STOLEN FROM AFRICA!

The KFC one was the best of the season. I found it hard to get though the facebook episode. I haven't given a shit about facebook since I was 16 and I'm way too young to give a shit about Tron. All in all it was a laugh-less episode.

Never understood the hype of South Park. Satires ok at times but can be a bit too obvious, especially when its really obvious targets.

Wow. This season has been awesome so far. South Park has gone through slumps in the past (last season was pretty meh) but it always bounces back. They are in top form at the moment.
