I thought the HIV Positive one was hilarious. That and Major Boobage were the best of the season for sure.

i think they peaked doing the cartoon wars, wii and imagination land episodes. They need a spinoff quick. major boobage was on form though

every episode can't be perfection, i'm willing to give the rest of the season the benefit of the doubt. i think they falter when they reach too hard to slam a person or group they dislike personally rather than just letting the cynicism and satire kind of progress from the storylines.

the hillary's snutch and WGA episodes are examples of this.

It's the first episode of South Park that I have turned off halfway through. I don't think I'm going to bother watching the show anymore.

Yet again they repeated one joke throughout the entire episode and insulted an easy-target celebrity without the slightest hint of wit or intelligence. The episode again relied almost entirely on references to some incident that I couldn't give a shit about. I don't know who Kanye West is. And I don't care. I don't read celebrity gossip and so I don't give a shit about Britney Spears or the Jonas Brothers or Kanye West... or whatever the fuck his name is. South Park didn't used to rely so heavily on criticizing idiots. It's not really clever satire, is it? I thought the episode was about the same quality as a bad joke in a talk show monologue.

As they repeatedly said about the rapper they were insulting, I just don't get it. The episode got good reviews and made numerous news headlines. Lots of people seemed to think it was really funny.

Trey Parker is an intelligent man but at the moment he has resorted to taking cheap shot after shot at people who aren't intellectually capable of striking back. As I've said before, he is shooting fish in a barrel that are already dead.

The only explanation that I have is that he's run out of ideas. Or then again maybe when I turned it off I missed some grand finale that made the episode worth it, cause lot's of people thought it was hilarious.

They started losing their game around manbearpig and that episode against AA was the clincher for me. That isn't satire it's obnoxious, extending your middle finger at the camera for a half an hour isn't funny. Like one episode out of the season will have some thought and humor in it and the rest will be preachy libertarian bull shit or one long attack at an celebrity. :X

A bad southpark episode still has more ideas and humor than 90% of other tv shows out there, but that's like comparing a perfectly formed hunk of shit to a bunch of messy smelly turds.

I saw the last half of the episode the other day and it absolutely baffled me. I love South Park, and it's probably my favorite show, but I hope the 13th season doesn't continue this way. I liked the first two episodes, but the whole queefing thing and "gay fish sticks" just seem a bit below par.

Kanye West is an easy target, and South Park does go out of it's way to piss off anyone and everyone, but this was unnecessary. I'm having serious doubts about the remainder of the season. Random celebrity potshots, a good series makes not.

And also, do we really need to establish over and over again how much of an asshole Cartman is? We've gone over this many, many times now. Let Kyle and Stan do something other than "talk about what they learned" and take the focus off the once-funny mascot. I don't think Cartman's personality is ever going to change (i.e. reached his limit of absurdity), but come on -- let the other characters flesh out a bit more. Recent seasons have not really allowed this as Trey seems to keep the focus on Cartman, which is REALLY tiring.

I did like Kanye's song towards the end, at least. And props to Matt and Trey for calling out Mencia, especially considering they share the same network.

yes it did. its always been about criticizing idiots it just wasnt always famous idiots. and thats great that you dont know who these people are good for you, but that dont make it not funny. Kanye west aint a obscure celebrity actor from some shitty reality show that only gossip blog followers have heard of. he is insanely popular and well known. And , you clearly know wat his name is, you just typed it. You know wat it is, so why do the whole ''Im a intellectual high above celebrities, so even though i know this guys name, and am aware of the correct spelling, i am gonna pretend that I dont even care enough to remember his name from when i said it in my own sentence 20 seconds ago, becuz that will demonstrate just how little i care about him. If i refer to him like i have heard of him and know his correct name people might get the wrong idea that I actually care.'' Let it rest man, the attitude when people not just you, be all like, Pffft, I dont even KNOW who michael jackson is! Celebrities are STUPID! is hilarious. unless you never read a newspaper, go online, or watch tv, you HAVE heard of certain people, its impossible not to, and i hate celebrity drama n gossip and dont care, yet i am still aware on a borderline level of shit that goes on, just from indirectly absorbing it goin about my life day to day seein shit on tv or a magazine as I pass by....So to claim total ignorance like that just makes it look like you go out of your way to show you dont care.

Anyways back to the episide, if you dont know who he is, thats why you dont get the fuckin show man. the entire joke is on him and his behavior. Becuz its about HIM and his ego which if you had any knowledge of him at all, you would have heard some of the ridiculous and crazy shit hes said and that he has a monster ego thats always causin him to do stupid over the top shit and act in stupid ways. Dont blame the south park creators for your lack of knowledge about famous people that have even been heard of in war torn countries in africa. i thought the episode was funny as fuck as a hip hop fan and the song at the end was hilarious becuz they got it down so perfectly his style of music. it was much better t han the last one about the queef sisters without a doubt.

I don't know who he is. The name was not familiar to me or my wife upon watching the episode. I think it's weird that you find that so hard to believe. I'm not American and I don't keep up to date with US celebrity gossip... or any gossip for that matter. I don't watch television (only a few shows I download) and haven't for many years. I don't read the newspaper. I don't listen to hip-hop. The reason I knew his name when I typed it is because I had just watched half the episode in which they repeatedly stated his name.

No offense, but you've got a pretty narrow view of the world if you think it's impossible that some people don't know who this guy is.

I'm not blaming the creators of South Park for anything, I just don't like the show much anymore and I thought the episode was really weak. Maybe some people in Africa do know who he is. I live in Australia and I don't. And maybe 75% of the population of Australia knows who he is... Which I seriously doubt. Anyway, if so, I would be part of the other 25%.

The world doesn't revolve around the United States. Do you know who Kevin Rudd is?

"whatever the fuck his name is" is supposed to indicate my indifference towards him, not that I don’t know what his name is. Given the context and the fact that I had just typed his name, I thought that was obvious.

Maybe it was better than the queef sisters episode. But that's kind of like saying that it's better than a kick in the face, isn't it?

Yes and he's also the Prime Minister.

My point is that a lot of US citizens don't know who he is, but practically every Australian does. A good example of a US citizen who apparently doesn't know who Rudd is, is (co-incidentally) Trey Parker who doesn't seem to be aware that John Howard is no longer in power.

I just watched the latest episode of South Park - which has animated versions of all the world leaders but instead of Rudd, Howard is depicted as the Prime Minister.

Oh and to answer your question pullstring, I thought the latest episode was mildly amusing in a fun and meaningless sort of way. But it was by no means great television. At least it wasn't Trey vs. yet another celebrity and it didn't repeat the same joke over and over again.

Hey I have the world leaders on the phone I will just ask them....Hey did you guys see any aliens running around??

You're right, they did repeat that joke a couple of times. But it wasn't the only joke in the entire episode..

You still haven't said what you thought of the episode.
