Every year as the middle of winter sets in many doofers are pulled out of hibernation into to the great
Australian bush land to submerge themselves in the music and culture that that Royal Doof is renowned for.

This year is no exception as we again provide cutting edge producers and acts – although highly dedicated
to the Psytrance genre it also includes a diverse scope of electro, progressive, breaks and acoustic bands.

Full amenities are provided – Security, First-Aid, Water/Toilets, and (a winter party only luxury) gas heaters
and open fires. With Market, Food and Drink stalls, amazing decor & plenty of safe camping areas, making
this a place you’ll fall in love with your transient community.

First Round tickets are now available online.

A few of you who i chat to know all about my obsession with this doof, it is totally kickarse and i am getting the word out there this time.

With the super awesome camp fires, the insane psytrance and the wonderful people you seriously need to experience it guys. The vibe is amazing, this doof will enrich your soul. <3

I went to rainbow this year and it literally converted me from raver to doofer, it was such an amazingly friendly vibe. But this is my first smaller one I'm really looking forward to it from my understanding it's a favorite among doofers.
 
Hahaha okay, when I mentioned to my boyfriend (who is away for work for pretty much the rest of this year) that Azax Syndrom is headlining Royal, he was like "Right, that's it, we're going"
(Keeping in mind that we live in Sydney, and he'll be coming from Karratha, Western Australia ;)). It just so happens to be on a weekend that he's away in Western Australia, to which he replied "I don't care, I'll take a week off work!" (which, to put it in to perspective, is about $3,000 worth of pay)

But then again, I've been waiting for Azax Syndrom to come to Australia for EVER!!! 8o I've even corresponded with him personally on a number of occasions to persuade him to come out here.

So, in summary: I ain't missing this for the world <3
 
Any ideas where this event will be held?

I haven't been to Royal before, but am a bit more stable financially now and super pumped up to check out what all the positive talk is about Royal Doof that I've been hearing for years...

This year I might break my virginity :-)

Stoked i'm down in Vic for the winter madness that is royal!

It's held in the Pyraneze (or however it's spelt) mountains, Melb side of Ararat.

It's a fucking awesome weekend, just make sure you lock up all your valuables as there's a tendency for dodgy low life scum to go through ones belongings and take what they see fit. The effects guy even had his lap top stolen while he went to take a slash last year!

I'm taking rolls of gaffa and if any bastard is going through my stuff they will spend the rest of the doof taped upside down to a tree!!!

Scum aside, it has the best sound and light's show of any doof it's size! The JBL line array and lasers were insane last year.

Thanks to fires being permitted we were cooking up roasts in the camp ovens and kept toasty warm to boot :D

I recommend warm cloths, water proofs, gum boots, chainsaws for wood cutting and the usual doofing equipment

No gay ass day time beats like rainbow, very solid psy event

Gets my thumbs up :)

Sadly S.E Aus has the biggest and best scene when it comes to psy

I met plenty of w.a crew at rainbow this year, in fact, I gave one guy room in my tent to crash

There's no reason why you can't make the journey silentangst

No, there is, I haven't been able to find a job for the past seven months and therefore have no money :P I'll make a big effort to come over when I get back on my feet. I'd love to make it to Defqon as well lol.

Awesome news about the fires!!!

Maybe this time I'll actually get to meet some of the BLers and or recognize you lol
 
^Yeah man there are camp fires everywhere - I am not happy when i get really cold, i curl up into a ball and die lol - but ive never done that at this doof... the cool crisp hair, the sunshine and the campfires are ammmmazzzzzing! I get heart flutters just thinking about it :D
 
I cannot wait for this. this will be my first melbourne doof (recently moved from perth) and heaps looking forward to meeting heaps of new doof people :P should be a good freaking weekend!

^^ Rainbow was a bit of a let down in the tunes department

Between about 3am and 10am Sunday was bangin' but the rest was mediocre

Royal will mainly be psytrance with a touch of electro and prog through the day

Interesting to see 'acoustic bands' listed this year... I was approached by an organizer about playing last year and my band members couldn't make that date
