Improvements to Pillreports?

^^^ That's been a long standing bug, we know about it already. :)

We still have to get it though people's heads that the star rating is for the quality of the report and not the pill itself. Most people just can't seem to grasp that fact. Until we do that, a user reliability scale as mentioned may not be very fair.

Thats it exactly - If people dont rate the report how can we rate a user? If somebody is making rubbish reports give it the thumbs down (regardless of the pill in question). That way when you seach reports by a specific user you can see at a glance how good / bad they are.

Also letting us know how many reports the user has made and the average rating of his/her reports? Also maybe a function to click on wether we have tried them ourselves and tick yes or no as to if the report is genuine...

I think that could help to shape Pillreports back to a more reliable site and at least slow down the dealers?

theres too much flaming for that i think, someone could be reliable but have a problem with such and such who knows such and such and gets bad rating not based on his posting.
 
I think it would be a good idea for someone to post a good tutorial on how to take decent pictures of pills so the press is easy to distinguish.

Something I would REALLY like to see implemented, is an option to show whether the pill is out pressed or impressed, I am posting another thread about why I think this is beneficial.

delete useless reports asap.............leaving reports leave doubts about pills theres alot of fake reports going around we dont know what to beleive
 
no pic no report please..cant really tell much about a pill without a pic believing someone on how good the pill is is dangerous everyone rolls different no reports unless they've been tested and everything should be fine

The pointless ones are removed daily! The so-so ones are normally asked for an update and if no updates are received then the are removed within a few days.

If you read a pointless thread you should automatically give it the thumbs down - if you think the report is FAKE then either report it using the contact support option or leave a comment as to why you think its fake.

This won't work. It's not really fair to those who don't have a digital cam, or access to one. We'd rather have a pictureless report than no report at all.
 
thats true i'm not disagreeing with you on that i rather have any report than none but you can take a picture with any camera phone i think that should work
 
I think that pillreports would be better if I were turned into a mod with complete dominion over the site, lol jk jk, no but seriously make a dam investment into a server so users can post better quality pictures along with multiple ones. Some users understand that picture quality is important when viewing test results so the user can discern what the fuck they are about to take. Please take this to heart because you are helping everyone out there if we can post better quality photos.

The picture issue has to do with the way the software is written from what I understand. Again, we run into the money issue, there's a lot of people who use our services (PR and BL) but very few who will donate the $ just to keep the basic services on that we have now.
 
People can take several photos of the pill - upload one onto the report and the others to my image thread.

I will take the time to crop, merge the images to make sure as many of the important details are shown (within the size restrictions of the site).
